@@GrayS304 most likely because NATO investment by country is based on the GDP of the member nation, however most countries can’t anti up that amount so they usually fall a bit short.

@@davidgarrisononthemove oh, you are so generous with other people’s money 💰 They fall short? That’s how it works? I don’t think the bank would look kindly on me not paying my bills because ‘I fall short’ . Some not so rich members are spending more than 2% of their GDP on defence; others don’t. Example - Germany, Spain. They spend lavishly on their benefits at home; and we go further into debt. Honestly, it’s getting old. Pay to play or get out. Freeloaders need to defend themselves.

@@GrayS304 I just Googled it Sam. OTAN are the initials if you say NATO in the French Language. Funny tho. When I was in Germany in the early 70's I don't think there were any NATO bases in France. I guess things are different now.

OTAN is french....stands for Organisation Traité du l'Atlantique Nord....literally Organization Treaty of North Atlantic .
