I love them but they are apparently way too expensive to run. This is why so many companies are getting rid of them over the coming years. Everytime I fly I always go for the A380s I just find them exciting!

Due to accumulated tier miles with Emirates I was fortunate enough to have my economy class seating bumped up to business class during my very first trip on the Airbus 380. The sheer luxury was just jaw dropping unbefuckinleavable. Here I was at 40 000 feet above planet earth's surface, racing between continents thorough the atmosphere at 915 k/ph, seated at a half moon shaped bar counter being served cocktails and drinks during a flight that was as smooth as if secured on a soft padded sofa placed stable on a sold concrete slab. One could fill your glass to the brim and not a single drop would spill. The engineering genius of this flying monstrosity blew my mind. THIS was the metamorphosis end result of what started out as a rich imagination that evolved into reality.

Airbus 380 was one of the best decisions they made, knowing that they would tople Boeing as The Biggest. People and buyers throughout the world took notice. This has given fame to Airbus and a lot of respect that has resulted in increase in sales of their other, smaller aircraft.

@@alexausberlinThat was actually not Airbus' fault, they produced Aircrafts and buyers(Airways)bought them knowing very well not all their destinations have long enough&appropriate runways. Its like blaming car manufacturers when the car you bought is too long for your driveway or car park.

I was one of the very few British (I am now naturalized French) in the Toulouse area who was not an Airbus (or subcontractor) employee but …. if you are from Toulouse ….. your heart swells with pride every time Airbus makes another step forward.

I had the chance to fly on a380 in number of occasions from and to Sydney. Now that I have just seen "behind the scenes" story... if you don't get emotional by looking at all these - you don't have love for flying and aviation I'd say....(sorry!) This is a manifest that when people combine efforts and resources, they can achieve the unthinkable. Would've been proud too if in the shoes of all ppl involved in such a project. First to imagine...draw and then build what you've imagined and complete it to a perfection and even fly it later on.. this is a blessing 100%. Well done France, well done Spain, well done Germany, well done GB.

Hi, I also ❤❤❤ the A380, By far my favourite aircraft since I saw it first fly on TV back in 2005, 6 years later in 2010, I got my first opportunity to fly on it on the DXB-LHR-DXB on flight EK001 which is of course an Emirates flight, I was super excited and when it took off effortlessly, I was like wow, awesome, felt effortless, very comfy ride ❤❤❤❤ it even more, I also got another chance in March 2014 on the DXB-MEL sector and by far my longest flight ever and I was very happy the flight was also an A380 A6-EDD to be precise belonging again to Emirates. Loved every minute of it and I'm hoping now in 2024 on my next trip, I am hoping it will be another memorable A380 journey. Thinking about it makes me soo excited and its an aircraft I will happily board and fly again and again and again. Awesome spectacular marvel of engineering for sure.

They also kept their mouths shut when the incident happened letting QANTAS take all the negative publicity, also the week QANTAS turned 100 years old...curious coincidence, then the next day, the pilot of that plane flew home to Oz as a passenger and that plane also had an engine failure!!! Very curious coincidences indeed! QANTAS then cancelled all celebratory adverts about being the longest continually operating company with zero fatalities... So all the news during its 100th birthday week was about the engine exploding...nice job whoever organised that! @@GloryTouch5

So somehow Boeing is correct by saying there is no need for big airplane to connect passenger to point A to B. Since they continued 747 and came out with big suprised a Boeing 777-300ER which is now more economical than A380 and since after pandemic many A380 were grounded due to low passengers and also i think AIrbus announced that they will discontinues manufacturing A380.
