Es cierto en algunos lados es obligatorio hacer la academia militar 1 o 2 años o más , pero en el resto del mundo es un trabajo para muchos como todo trabajo, solo que en este si hay guerras y te llaman , o así como un policía puedes terminar muerto o matando personas. La gente no quiere luchar entre ellas, solo siguen ordenes, puedes ver como en Rusia estaban Huyendo del país y Putín trancó las salidas para no quedarse sin soldados...a veces la guerra es de 1 loco o 2, y el resto son ineptos que no pueden frenarla, ni entre 100 países no hacen nada.

As you obviously are interested in Estonia, I can tell you something about them and their history. They are our cousins, they are of Fenno-Ugrian origin, and their language distance to Finnish is about the same as that between Spain and Italy. That means that we can understand each other fairly easily. The problem with Estonia has always been her location. Too close to Russia within the travel path of armies. During the Soviet Union era, Estonia totally submitted to the communist regime, we Finns were not even sure if the Estonian genetic inheritance would survive. It was extremely thin already. Also, the Soviet Russians would not allow them to speak their own language for example on a bus. If you consider that a problem, think about trying to get a car in the Soviet Union dictatorship? Then you had another thing coming. A Russian Ziguli - i.e. Lada - would cost you 60,000 Finnish Marks, several years' salary. That is if you ever even got to the waiting list. You would have to wait for the car for three years. Owning a car is at the very bottom of the list the communist want for the people. To me, it is always at the very top of the list. That is one of the major reasons I have always been in love with the United States of America. I am easy that way.

Then the question about NATO. As you already probably understand, I always wanted Finland to be a NATO member. And I am pretty sure that everyone wants us, French Foreign Legion included. Did you know that the French Foreign Legion does not allow any other language to be spoken than French? One better learns the language really fast: - Oui mon Sergent! 🙂

Okay, despite the fact I might have a high readiness to join the Legion, I probably would not do that. First of all, Americans pay an engineer so much more. Almost double what I get in Finland. So, while I totally support and love the Legion and America's Army, I am too old to be a soldier anyway 🙂 Sorry, darlings. Maybe in the next life, if Karma works for me. You never know for sure. One thing you can see straight away is the quality of training being put into live fire practice and the high standard of weapons and equipment compared to the relic Russian's ! and to think the UA will at some point in the future be up their with the likes of the rest of the Baltic states in weapons and training , with a the biggest advantage of all, having fought a modern mechanised ground war ! while doing NATO a big favour in evaluating weapons for them ! in real time
