The player starts off with one of four weapons. They are airdropped in the Italian village of Adanti, and have several objectives to complete. The map is large, consisting of one large town hall, which is where two AA guns are located, with outlying, accessible buildings and walls. It is a night mission. Overall, the map is very tight, with a lot of possibility for very close fighting. The roofs of the houses are also accessible to fight on and can provide good cover and flanking.

The graphics in Airborne ALWAYS amazed me as I was younger. Looking at it now, it still looks really good. The lighting and fidelity is superb

I always made a point to never land at the green flares. On the mission i always landed on the big castle-like house with the AA on it. It was a personal goal of mine to land at the hardest spots and survive. Rarely went well :D

Who have already made it? 1) Played MOH Airborne in expert level; 2) Completed all missions without dying; 3) Won Golden Wings in the Training Level; 4) Completed all missions without botched the landings; 5) Began each mission using just the standard weapons suggested by the game without choosing your preferencial weapons; 6) Achieved all the weapons and grenades upgraded at the end of the campaign; 7) Achieved one skill drop achieved per mission; 8) Won Five stars in each mission. Fantastic game that I only discovered a few years ago. But the ending voiceover for this mission: "the war has begun".... in 1943??? By that point the British had defeated Rommel and the Afrika Korps, the Soviets had defeated the Germans at Stalingrad, they were already fighting the Battle of Kursk, and the overall war in Europe had been going for nearly four years. Weird.

At the beggining of the mission they are italians blackshirts. Later the wehrmacht arrives to the map , then you fighting against mixed axis forces, so both italians and germans appeared in this mission
