Bro, I just finished army AIT at Fort Leonardwood, my tip for you, do exactly what your told, don't fall asleep, and know when to close your mouth, and the only words out your mouth to your drill Sergeant's should be yes drill sergeant, no drill sergeant, if you don't know how to do something, ask a battle buddy or go to your drill sergeant, trust me. I just finished my training as a 31 Bravo, and it's extremely tough. And your weapon is your life, your nothing without it.

Soldiers are trained to kill, yes. But when the enemy straps bombs onto the chests of civilians, you fight to protect those around you. It is sad when a civilian dies in war, but even more so if a child is coursed by soldiers to do their dirty work. So far the United States does not militarize their children into suicide attacks. Or teach people to kill in the name of an evil malevolent deity who says kill anyone who believes in anything different than you.

As a new soldier of the army crew, the disrespect we get is some crap. The pay is bad, the food is decent sometimes, and the battle buddy system sucks. The reason for that is because we don't only pay to protect with our lives, but with actual money as well. My check is supposed to be 2001 every two weeks. Instead I get 850. "The army sucks", screw off, we're helping you support yourselves too. All these wars, all our lives, all our money, all for your freedom. And you're like, "free healthcare" that alone will make all soldiers bankrupt. Granted we do get free healthcare, but we can't afford to raise families if you all get it as well. You want it? Earn it by joining. Look up the "They say that in the Army" cadence to learn how we are treated. Every bit of it is true. Friends and family die for you to do what you do. We are the most free country in the world because we are almost invincible. From cooks to nuke launchers, we die for you. Granted I tried to be intelligence, but cook was better for my future.
