In 1967, there was another Channel 24 in Baltimore. It was the old WMET-TV, which was owned by the long gone United Broadcasting Company, which owned the old WOOK/WFAN-TV 14 in Washington,DC. Channel 24 in Baltimore ran programming from the ABC network, when WJZ was airing other programming. It also picked up shows from Washington's Channel 14, such as "Teenarama". Both 24 and 14 went off the air in 1972.

KPOL-TV 40, Tucson says, "Watch what we're doing now". Baltimore's WNUV-TV used to have that same slogan.

As someone who lived during this television times ...i miss these days when there was that larger sense that things "stopped/paused" just like we (people) had to ..now in this digital 24/7 world it seems like the tech is kind of dictating the pace
