I don't think I'm cynical when I say that people need to absolutely get it into their minds that they will never get justice from the legal system. I'm in the Antipodes and the legal system here is based in British and US law, and judges here take an oath when they become a judge to never allow their personal feeling to ever get in the way of meting out the letter of the law. I imagine it's the same in the UK and US - in fact, simple observation will tell you that it is. So, I looked up the definition of "justice" in my copy of Black's Law Dictionary and it says, basically, "Justice is achieved when all aspects of the law are in balance". So justice has nothing to do with conscience, or holding anyone to account, or actually even real justice, but just purely to protect the Law; giving the APPEARANCE of doing the right thing while leaving the right thing undone .....
