It's because of your foul technology, that we had to to decommissioned so many of the Freedom class boats built by Austal, an Australian company. Meanwhile all Independence class boats, built by Lockheed Martin,with their tri- maran hills are working perfectly well and even exceeding expectations. Why the U.S. would trust a country that doesn't even build their own ships, which are all foreign built is beyond. That money should have been given to Lockheed Martin, which has a clearly effective product of the two ship classes. It was simply a money grab given to a very incompetent, impotent corrupt nation, it was essentially thievery at the expense of the tax payers, all the while corrupting and compromising our force structure. Australia is small militarily so our entire defence is based on deterrence and area denial. So basically we base most of advancements on early warning systems like the wedgetail and the loyal wingman. We will never have the biggest military on earth but we that just means we need to spend so we have the best of everything and the most intense trained soldiers on earth. USMC is a model Australia should aspire to in terms of training, and budget.

Hi Garry, not sure if you know how these things work, and I don't blame you either. There's plenty of Naval Warfare exhibitions globally where various shipyards present their ships and make deals. Most of the items are listed aka Technical Specifications. The Russians used to participate and the Chinese still do. Unlike Airshows that also have their open days, the Naval & Land based ones are NOT OPEN to the public. There's also magazines - printed media - that detail the basics and go in to some details. This video is the same. It is not an in-depth but only glosses over the basics. I hope that you and many others have learned something. And yes, I am an "analyst" & love keeping myself up-to-date with a lot of things including the electronics.

I suggest you watch the video again. They pack an enormous punch with their varied systems and are very stealthy. They can also move faster than larger littoral vessels and that gives them tremendous advantages. Add to that the fact that compared to purchasing a frigate they are as cheap as chips.

Sorry sports but this is a deeply unimpressive display. These craft are expertly designed to fight WWII. The biggest question: why on Earth are they putting hot human bodies onto a platform when, with just a bit of Ukraine-style ingenuity, all of this 'reconnaisance' could be done with autonomous drones flying from an autonomous craft which sits invisibly *IN* the surface clutter, too low for radar to detect and too shallow for sonar?
