Flashbangs were thrown outside the back windows, maybe onto the porch as s distraction. Focus the kidnappers' attention there instead of on the door the team's coming through. Nobody's going to deploy a flashbang inside a residence if they know little kids are inside, especially bot little kids they're trying to rescue.

February 5, 2010 COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Police have found a 4-year-old boy who went missing Thursday morning after his mother reported that he was abducted from a Cobb County mobile home park. He was found in Gwinnett County unharmed, investigators said. Christian Guevera was reunited with his mother Thursday evening at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. Seven people were detained for questioning Thursday evening, police confirmed. Cobb County police later charged Jair Garcia Cruz, 32, of Austell, and Jonathan Martinez Tapia, 26, with kidnapping, false imprisonment, aggravated assault, cruelty to children, and attempted extortion. ***Both men pled guilty to aggravated assault in 2011 and were sentenced to 20 years in prison. They were both released in 2020.***

Yea, which is why the US marshals are a federal program. They have the money for this. My town of 2,000 people has a police budget of 15 million dollars. They have bought entire fleets of armored vehicles and high end weaponry. The school has a budget of less than a million. This is super common across the country. LA police department is larger than some countries armies. No one thinks police should be completely disbanded. They think the money should go to better programs, or at the very least, not be a system that incentives spending 100% of the budget

How bizarre is it that parents are relieved if a child is "just" taken by kidnappers wanting money, rather than that ultimate horror of a person who wants a child's body. Kidnapper are motivated to keep the child alive. The other kind - the child doesn't last out an hour or two. In this case, we have to wonder, was the "new boyfriend" only meeting people online for exactly these purposes? Such a paradise for predators of so many kinds.. Thank goodness this child survived.
