The Pentagon has released footage that appears to show a Russian aircraft intercepting a US Air Force drone in international airspace over the Black Sea.

The head of Russia's foreign intelligence service says Moscow has the technological capability to recover the debris of the MQ-9 Reaper drone from the seabed. But US officials say the debris could be in deep water that would make a recovery impossible, and the drone has no real intelligence value.
The impact site is believed to be in international waters off the west coast of occupied Crimea, where Russia has established naval bases and airfield.

@E Mad I am not russian. I am not doing any politics here. This drones operates on Black Sea 50.000 feet altitude. Su 27 design altitude is 27.000 feet. So, that pilot hit drone (note that: a few inch of miscalculation can cause major damage to jet also) on 50.000 feet. MQ-9 max speed is 480km/h. SU-27 is a supersonic fighter jet, so you just can't navigate that kind of jet with low speed easily. It is like driving ferrari with 340km/h and trying to touch Smart's side mirror, which has a speed of 60km/h. I am Azerbaijani, and I have no chance to like russians. But that pilot has some serious skills, man.

I think that's actually due to angle of the light on the blades, at the beginning the face we see is towards the sun and then afterwards I think the sun is to the back. If you look really close at the prop blade thats unbent, you can vaguely see the lines

Not necessarily. I teach satellite communications. If you look at the makeup of the MQ-9 there is an upward-pointing antenna dish that is most likely used to communicate with military satellites to relay both commands and real-time video feeds. This is gimbaled to allow some degree of freedom, however, a strike from the SU-27 could easily cause it to have to reacquire the satellite(s). Depending on the severity of the impact, the MQ9 would have had to reorient itself first, and I’m guessing the flight control surfaces were pretty damaged.

The US shot down a civilian balloon for entering its airspace. Didn’t see you complain about that one. But the moment the Russians bring down a US military aircraft that invaded its airspace with the intent of attacking Russia then you cry and rage Russians have already collected the wreckage. Tell me how the Russian plane (second aircraft pass) could have bent the single propeller give the propeller diameter swing is tucked down between the large "Vee" stabilizer blades. The aircraft passed over the drone near horizontal but it would have required the jet to pass with it's wing dropped down between the Vee in order to hit one blade.

One wing seems to rotate 90 degrees on the axis where the wing is inserted. Is one bent about 90 degrees? What is the material of the wings? How did you fix the wings? Got a little bit of fuel, the giant wing bent and turned around on a fixed axis? A portable drone? Hang glides? Balloons? You can't see the two lines at the end of the wing after the second strike. Is it because the video is dark or cloudy?
