How To Sign Up for US Mobile & Port Your Number

Important Notes:
▸ Keep your current service active (US Mobile will automatically cancel your plan when you switch)
▸ Get your porting information (account number, PIN, and billing ZIP code)
▸ Make sure your phone is unlocked and compatible with the Verizon or T-Mobile networks
I recommend using US Mobile on their Super LTE network, which uses Verizon for coverage.
Activation Steps:
1. Order a SIM starter kit from US Mobile ($3.99, or use code “CPTA12DA” for a free kit!)
2. When your kit arrives, log in to your US Mobile account and click "add a line"
3. Go through the activation process (outlined in this video!)
4. Once you get an email your number has successfully ported (can take 24h-48h), pop your US Mobile SIM card into your phone
5. Wait for your phone to say it is activated (about 30 seconds)
Once your phone is activated, you should be all set and ready to enjoy your new plan on US Mobile!

Warning - I have signed up for this service to try it out. While the Verizon reception is good and the speed is reasonable. There are serious concerns about the plan's completeness. As I test out the international roaming, I was told that this portion of the service is not available until possibly next month (no guarantee) and there are no indication of this unavailability on the website. It smells like a false advertising as there is nothing on the site that says this isn't currently available.

Here's a little perk I found out about the Verizon version of US Mobile today. I am using a super cheap plan of theirs on an old phone and found something interesting. Domestic CDMA roaming on US Cellular does appear to work at least in WV. I was able to confirm it is US Cellular because they are my primary carrier and I was able to confirm it by the error messages given when dialing an invalid number. Verizon coverage is kinda iffy in parts of my area, so I was able to confirm that myself. A call went through fine and 3G data also worked as expected. I'm not sure how much of any of this you can use though as my experience with it was very limited. Plus, I'm not sure if this will still be available to use after the Verizon CDMA shutdown.

However, the T-Mobile version did nothing for me, so I can't confirm if it has roaming or not. I tried to use the T-Mobile SIM, but I could never get signal on it due to a lack of T-Mobile signal in my area. I'm not sure if it needs a T-Mobile signal to activate or not, but the phone didn't do anything. So I can't speak for the roaming on the T-Mobile version if it exists at all.

For whatever it is worth, customer service with US Mobile is pretty good. I'd had a few issues including my wife's visual voicemail not working. But they got it sorted quickly. I actually have used both the black Super LTE Verizon sim and the white GSM LTE T-Mobile sim. I recently switched back from the Super LTE plan to the GSM plan. I live and work in the St Louis area, but I noticed my coverage on the SUPER LTE network was very shotty. I experienced this with both my Pixel 5a and the 6a. I did not experience it as much with the 4a; maybe the handoff causes issues? But my signal would often cut out driving on the major highways in the heart of the metro. I decided to switch over to the Tmobile network via the white sim. I've been very happy with the results. I did not need to configure any additional APN settings; everything works on the default fast.tmobile apn for me on my Pixel 6a. And the speeds I'm getting are much faster and signal much more consistent. My wife is still on SUPER LTE, as she has family in a rual farm community south of St Louis that doesn't have as good of coverage on T-Mobile's network. But I don't travel down there enough to justify a service that I cannot use without it dropping several times a day where I live and work and worship. I just wish unlimited 2G speeds were included, as on MINT. But as long as I don't run speed tests all the time I should be fine with the 12 GB plan. Hopefully I can dwindle my usage to use the cheaper $5GB plan by downloading more podcasts rather than streaming them.

@@StetsonDoggett Yes if in one's local area one has 5G access to mid C-band and 6mm wave band Verizon lease tower's one can tap into the up to 200 Mbps data threshold speeds without being potentially de prioritized up to 100Gb data threshold limit; for only $10 extra per month; which allows one to use multiple streams of internet data at the same time without any restrictions on one's smartphone; still the additional fee cost is likely worthwhile since it effectively mimics Verizon's postpaid top tier data threshold offering plan which effectively costs $100 per month which still represents a 40% cost savings to not have to subject one to any potential below 200Mb/s data speed throttling and/or potential data de prioritization issues; which inevitably leads to hd video streams being dropped and/or skipped unfortunately.

Currently paying 48.62$ on WING’s T-Mobile GSM network which has a unlimited all, full speed and unlimited hotspot data which says 3G speeds but definitely seems way faster. Also, you don’t get a data cap or any slowing till after 60gb

Paid off my IPhone 13 Pro Max with Verizon($130 month phone & plan) to lower my expenses due to work injury. My free trial just ended & I am not happy. In the same areas where I would normally get 60-180Mbps with Verizon, I now have a range of .5-1.5Mbps, WTF!! I feel I just signed up for AOL dial up.

Hey man - I love your videos. Because of you I swithced to US Mobile and use GSM LTE (Verizoin). I use iPhone 8 (and my partner uses iPHone 6). Unfortunately we observed that we cannot send MMS to non-Iphone users and we were told to use Verizon Messages which works fine. Do you know how we can get this resolved so we can send MMS from our iPhone native Messages instead of using VErizon Messages? Thanks so much

I tried to port my number from ATT prepaid to the Super LTE Verizon network and it wouldn't let me due to network constraints. I had to use the white card instead, which was a bummer because after using it, the data speed is not comparable at all.

Visible is responsible for the MVNO price wars. Metro by T-Mobile has a 40 dollar unlimited plan for new users. Mint has 30 dollar for 35 GB, but you buy 3 months bulk US Mobile for 30 GB which I'm trying out since I don't need Unlimited Data or a hotspot, I usually use 20 GB in a month and have Verizon FIOS as a WIFI hotspot.

Yung Nig I’m on Visible now. It’s horrible at how slow it is. I am de-prioritized to hell. I can’t stream well and my GPS has trouble while going up the southeast coast of Florida. I regret it. Sure it’s $25, but what’s the point when the service is awful?

"Super LTE" Is nothing special, it's just a black sim for Verizon variant phones. White GSM sim is for TMobile/AT&T/Unlocked/World phones...GSM networks.

So any unlocked Volte enable device should work just fine with Verizon and take full advantage of their T&S with us mobile 50GB data priority speeds
