Broken record here, but I'm still loving US Mobile. My iPhone 12 Pro will be here Friday and I'm happily bringing my US Mobile SIM from my iPhone X to the 12 Pro. Went from $96.66/month with Verizon's unlimited plan to $57.92 with US Mobile. Even if I now have a "fake" unlimited plan, I don't even need more than 10-15GB of data each month, so it's worth the extra $464.88 in savings every year for me!

Stetson, I can't thank you Dennis enough. I signed for the Unlimited Basic plan. I couldn't be happier with the service. Full bars everywhere is mind boggling for me since I live in such a rural area.
@howardroark65944 жыл бұрын
Thanks Stetson. I had never heard of US Mobile until I found your YT videos. I tried Visible but it was so difficult to get service working for an Android phone last year. Eventually I bought an iPhone for Visible. The reason I jumped to US Mobile (Super LTE) and left Visible was because US Mobile had domestic roaming on the VZW network and Visible did not use domestic roaming- meaning Visible doesn't work in places where VZW downgrades in rural areas to 3g or 2G. This meant US Mobile worked everywhere VZW post-paid worked (including for about a 100 mile stretch of highway in KY) where Visible did not, at all.
@ginnyjohnson23324 жыл бұрын
@Howard Roark great tidbit. Thanks for sharing. US Mobile is sounding more and more like the way to go. Visible was tempting...but all the tasty details and perks are adding up for usmobile. Rural here too, large pockets of sketchy coverage and big distances of none at all.
@howardroark65944 жыл бұрын
@@ginnyjohnson2332 I’d suggest you look at the US mobile (super LTE) coverage map -zoomed in for your home. Then go look at the Visible Coverage map- also zoomed in for your residence and such. If they both have strong coverage for your area then you can choose. But too many people hear the words “Verizon network” and assume that means the MVNO has Verizon’s world famous postpaid coverage and it very often does not. Best of luck. These videos are why I come back to Stetson’s channel over and over. My use situation for mobile coverage is similar to a traveling salesman or full time RV’er while many people just commute short distances to and from an office and just around their town.

When looking for my next US-Canada plan, I toyed with their eSIM global roaming app. They have US there, and you can buy a 1GB for $5 on it to try. I ended up being on AT&T somehow via that one. As well, that service somehow ended up using a Polish operator and a London, UK IP address, with 250ms ping time. Apparently, their eSIM offering is an entirely separate product. I think it's time for Stetson to research and do a demo on those eSIM global roaming services (e.g. this US Mobile one, Truphone, DENT) - their US, global, regional plans. @StetsonDoggett4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching through the whole thing, David! I know it was a longer review. In regards to US Mobile vs Verizon Postpaid, I think it really comes down to what your needs are and how many lines you have. If you need true unlimited data or postpaid priority, then Verizon will be the way to go. Verizon’s pricing is more reasonable with multiple lines, too. However, if US Mobile’s 50GB limit works for you, their plans will tend to be cheaper. Plus you can choose your perks instead of only having the Disney+ bundle and Apple Music as your only two options. And US Mobile’s international data roaming options are WAY better than what Verizon is offering. To pick the best plan for you, I would crunch the numbers and evaluate which features are most important to you!

Wait, so to take advantage of the “perks”, you have to email them monthly? That’s a little silly especially if you have to do that twice a month.
@StetsonDoggett3 жыл бұрын
I agree, it's definitely a little annoying. But it also gives you the flexibility to choose whichever perks you want, and to have the option to easily change perks on a month-to-month basis. So overall I think it's a good system, and I appreciate the value US Mobile is adding to their plans.

I was gonna sign up for them, but ran into a tons of problem transferring my phone number to them. Received my kit, but their customer service is horrible. The person I spoke with for assistance was extremely rude, I ended up telling them I’ll stick with my current more expensive carrier for better service. Probably a cheap option, but customer service is horrible!!

Tethering is a feature of the phone and the cell company has no right to try to remove the functionality of the phone. If I pay them for service, tethering is something I get to do. If they don't allow this -- that's theft. It's weird that people have largely went along with the idea of carriers thinking they can disable our phone features.

I think you mentioned on another review for us mobile that the cheapest plan doesn’t allow WiFi calling. Not sure I understood that. If I have an iPhone and add this plan, I should be able to use WhatsApp and fact8me over WiFi. Correct?

Hoping you've figured this out by now, but for anybody else. Wifi calling is a specific feature for phone calls over wifi instead of the cellular network when you are in an area that supports it. Apps like WhatsApp and Facetime work as normal.
