After 20 years of nursing in the UK, I have decided to try nursing in the America. I took the NCLEX at 48 years old and now I'm in the process of completing the immigration requirements. The work and life balance in the UK before was great ( £1 = P 100). However, recently I have to do 1-2 extra shifts a week just to be able to pay my bills. Travelling to Continental Europe has gone more expensive. These are just few of the reasons why I am making the move.

I may not know your specific plans or life goals, but I have former colleagues who are now in the UK. Both are nurses with a single child. Despite working there, they find themselves living paycheck to paycheck. Back when we worked in Abu Dhabi, we could save around 10,000 AED out of a 16,500 AED gross monthly salary. However, they mention struggling to save, even with additional bank shifts. In contrast, my family of five has relocated to the US. We find a balance between family and work as our jobs allow for self-scheduling. Picking up extra shifts is an option for additional savings without causing undue stress. Although we are taxed here, the year-end brings Individual Tax Statements (ITS) and child allowances from the state, amounting to $2,500 per child. We like it here compared sa Abu Dhabi. And we are thankful enough na finally nakapunta kami dito ng walang kahirap hirap 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙃

Manong George, you keep on pushing on these contents. For clout ba? Lol. Anyway, he didn’t even work as a nurse sa UK, pero syempre as usual, click bait yung mga title mo. I just hope you slow down on making content that could dishearten yung mga hirap na hirap na sa UK. You have a voice, so if you can, be neutral.

I think he likes the clout kasi dun dumadami engagement like sa fb group nila. If you’re in their fb group napa katoxic at kalat ng mga members. You’ll just soon realize na they dont really care kung totoo man on hindi mga post mo doon. Basta may engagement ok na ok yan 👌
