In my entire history of playing wowsb, there was a truly cursed, dark period when one's win percentage was inversely related to how many of this ship were present in one's team. I avoided t678 entirely during those dark time. 😅

Yup i am grinding through tier 6,7,8 my highest tier ship is t7 Carracciolo and it becomes so unbalanced if there is a Ise , tone and atlantico on the enemy team .

3:53 the port was part of the December 2021 blitz pass (along with the Repulse). It was also available in the shipyard for 30 steel and 30 titanium sometime this past winter 😅

The Wv giveaway was a great time to grind DD lines! It did give the impression that the ship was actually a bad ship. I picked Wv up when my wife was grinding tier 7 ships. Even though it’s slow, it’s one of my favorite tier 7 BB’s. It’s a good captain trainer for the Vermont line if you need it. If you are lucky enough to have Dewey, he’s great to bounce around to the American premium PA ships.

I remember getting this game. I paid for mine (with camo) and my sister got hers for free. I stopped playing mine when she lost hers. I can't remember if Wargaming removed it from her account or her account altogether was lost. Anyways, nice review. I look forward to using her once again, now properly.

This port came out in an event/BP 2 years ago. I think it was also available in the shipyard for a ridiculous amount of steel and titanium. I got the port from the event/.BP.

I actually built a model kit of this ship back in I believe march?? It is of its pre-1944 refits. Anyways I want this ship a lot for this simple reason History.

That'd be an amazing model... I actually quite like the pre-30s designs, less streamlined than the later ones. Man, I really need to find some time to get back to model building.

21 knots thats the problem But American hard hitting guns compensate at close range so yah its good i always love guns rather then reload But iowa is exceptional 👌

It's actually somewhat easier than Colorado, due to the precise aim, but you can compensate (to a degree) for the poor speed with positioning. Just make sure you're in range of things that might need shooting soon, and stay away from the map borders

Looks good, but imo, I feel an American Premium Battleship that can do it better than the West Virginia would be the Alabama. It gets a better PA, greater speed, good AA. In essence, I guess what the West Virginia could have done. Alabama doesn't get quite the same armor as the West Virginia, but at least the Alabama can move around at 27 knots, rather than dying on the hill you choose with 21 knots. It's a good ship, but it's probably one of those ships I'd say I would play for the battle honors, then never play it again, there for collection reasons. A great ship.

Alabama is T8 though. Basically the sniper version of the NC. Fun ship that you don't see around a lot. I actually have one in my personal account.

@@FunandGameswithTerry True. I should have compared it to the Florida, but the Florida also has pretty bad dispersion. Idk why but the NC was pretty good at brawling, because it's sniper capabilities were dreadful. Alabama is pretty rare and a very fun ship. Same here, I also have one in my account.

Navy Cross, presented by Nimitz himself, was the highest, I think, but will have to check. He went down with one of the "... Bay" escort carriers from a sub torpedo attack, from memory.

Doris Miller was his name. It was the Liscombe Bay that he was killed aboard. The U.S. Navy's next aircraft carrier (CVN-81) will be named after him.

Yes, USN BBs can be set up quite long range. Hitting something at 15km is a different question, though 😉

I use drydock port 99% of the time to judge below the waterline lol.
