A freshwater aquarium animal that I think looks cool are Triops, they are crustaceans with 3 eyes (hence the name), they are more common in gift shops than pet stores due to their ability to asexually produce eggs that hatch when they are dried and rehydrated, they evolved like this due to their desert environment, they live in temporary ponds, grow up fast and die after a few months, but drain the water, and rehydrate it, you can have a continuous tank of generations of Triops, I found them hard to keep alive, but years later, I found out that the instructions that came with the kit were faulty and told me to put crushed carrots in before they hatch, but that would leave them to eat until they pop, if you did some research, they can grow to a few inches, and can keep your tank going for countless generations

Can we take a minute to appreciate the amount of research that goes into these tier lists? These aren't Mt. Dew & Doritio flavors like most every other AI channel does. I've learned a lot from these vids, even on subjects that I thought I was pretty well versed in. And on top of all the other things that need to be done to make these videos (scripts, voices, editing, etc.) it really has to be commended. Keep up the amazing work, you are the best AI POTUS channel by far!

I kinda agree, but I do think the format is funnier/better when it's discussing junk food. The inherent disconnect of distinguished presidents acting like a bunch of gamer bros on discord is great absurdist comedy. And is, imo, the point of the genre. The amount of research and even editing/visual flares from this channel is commendable, and this is certainly one of my favorite AI President channels. I just feel like it's separation from the premise makes the president aspect seem almost superfluous.

@@zakaryloreto6526depends on what you'd call a pleco, there's a bunch of subfamilies in Loricariidae. Anything from Loricarinae? they're cool and they're not as messy, the ones from Hypostimnae? This is one of the only times I’ve heard somebody give attention to rosy red minnows. They’re very easy to keep, they’re fun looking and they have a golden color that’s satisfying to watch. There 2 types of it, the Fathead minnow (original) and the rosy red (golden variant). Sometimes you could find one of the gray fathead minnows at the pet store and take them home too. They’re THE most underrated fish, and feeder goldfish always take their place as the cheap fish to buy (even though feeder goldfish are probably more expensive to keep than other fish)

Some notes I find as a fish keeper: Bettas: I've found these, due to the over selectively breeding in the past decade, are not nearly as hardy as they once were. Definitely need to emphasize the need for a proper setup. I recommend starting at the "low end" of them. So the 10 dollar and below Dwarf Gourami: Might just be my luck or the very limited stock options I have near me, but I've found these also are not nearly as hardy. They are very overbred and kept in pretty bad conditions. There are other gourami that might be better like the honey (similar size) or the pearl. Nano type gourami are also great but you need a 20gal for them with lots of hiding places or they will fight when they breed. Pygmy gourami also croak (like the sound) when they're happy Mollies/Platy/Swordtail: While they were lumped with platies and swordtails, Mollies are actually very different and a male Guppy can breed with a female mollie. Also swordtails/platies are easily sexed. Females have a triangular anal fin, males have a slender one. When you keep them, keep them in a ratio of 1 male to 2-3 females, or single gender only. The males can harass the females quite a bit Not mentioned: Loaches. If you get the right one they are stars. Kuhli, zebra, yoyo, awesome. Just need to watch out for the ones that get big or see aggressive (clown, skunk). Do your research Honorable mention: African leaf fish. Uncommon but can be kept in 55-75, easy to keep, and make a great centerpiece fish

From a 1.5 Gallon tank to a 10 gallon. It was at a time where I was very low in life and it was the only thing that could replicate how well I was taking care of things. I eventually gave him to a friend that had a community tank with other rainbowfish as it was just impossible for me to get an aquarium big enough for him. Absolutely a SSS+ fish.

Corydoras! Corys deserve to be rated here. They are at the least beneficial, and they are full of character. They get along with everybody, and there's a pattern and colour for everyone. Otocynlus are another which got missed. They are an important member of any clean up crew. Loaches are among my personal favourites. There is the hillstream loach which likes to hang on the walls of the aquarium and keep them clean or in the heavy flow if you point the output of your filter to run down full force on the wall of the aquarium. There's also the kuhli loaches which look more like little eels than like the hillstream or any other variety of loach. Plecos. There are more different kinds of pleco than anyone has been able to give names to yet, so they're usually described by a letter "L" followed by a number. Knife fish. They get big, so you'll need a big tank, but the colours on many of the species are fantastic, and they look like no other fish. Bichers. These are the dinosaurs of the fresh water aquarium. They will need to be kept alone in a moderate sized tank, but other than that, they're pretty cool. They also have one member, the rope fish, which looks like a very scaly eel. Gobies. There are some very colourful varieties of these, and they are relatively easy to keep. They are reasonably small, and they hang out on the bottom. Most species are friendly and won't attack their tank mates. Mud skippers. Very interesting and fun fish, but very difficult to keep. You will need both a water portion of aquarium and an out of water, but damp area for them. They spend quite a bit of time out of water, but need to go back in the water now and then. There are two species which are kept in aquaculture. Archer fish. Not the easiest fish to keep, but not the most difficult either. They aren't extremely colourful, but it's their behaviour that is their redeeming factor. You either put live food on the leaves of aquarium plants which have grown patially grown out of the water, or you stick food out of water on the sides of the tank, and watch them spit water at the food to knock it into the water where they eat it. They aren't super hard to keep, but they like a well scaped tank with still water. African Butterfly Fish. These are surface dwelling fish which, when viewed from above, look like a moth which has fallen into the water. They like eating crickets and other live bugs which have fallen into the water. Viewed from the side, they have a really strange looking set of fins and tail. They will eat any live fish which is small enough to fit into its mouth and that ends up at the surface with it. Most fish which live at the bottom of the tank will be safe though. They must have a covered tank, or they will jump out. Those long, moth wing looking finds serve both as camouflage, and in the wild allow them to glide for a distance much like flying fish do in the ocean. Leave the lid off just once, and you'll find most, if not all, of your African Butterfly fish on the floor. They are way too expensive and uncommon to leave the lid off. Fresh water puffers. Fun, but not always friendly to tankmates. It's best to put snails and bivalves in the tank for them to eat, or else their teeth will get too long. You can file down the teeth of your puffers if they get long but, especially with the pigmy varieties, that can be a very delicate process, and your puffer could easily die during it. If you provide hard food for them, the teeth will be kept worn down for the most part, but you may once in awhile have to file them anyhow. It's best to keep puffers in a tank of their own so that they don't full up on food that isn't going to wear their teeth down. Tongue fish. These are freshwater flat fish of the same family as sole, place, and flounders. They are much smaller than their seaborn counterparts, and will probably do well in a 50 gallon tank. I don't know a whole lot about these, other than they can be difficult to keep, they like a sandy substrate, and prefer to eat shrimps, snails, and any fish which is small enough to fit in its mouth and comes to close to it. For the most part they are an ambush predator, and they are rather slow, so fast fish which are larger and stay higher in the water column should not be a problem for them. They are unlike any other fish kept in fresh water in that they lay on their sides and have both eyes on one side of their body just like the ocean flat fishes.

Gotta put in shrimps, cat fish, American cichlids, they could all have their own tier lists tbh. Also good stuff implementing the killis, I got a golden and clown. In Australia it gets so tough finding them sometimes there's groups with thousands of people on fb looking for them

I know the other guys did it, but a spooky tier list would be amazing. Even though its already the end of october. Your tier lists have so much humanity in them its wild

My betta female is calm, she is in a 10 gallon with a couple of female endlers livebearers. The amounts to research and respect to the hobby is awesome. I did not expect this, but I sure appreciate it. Gained a follower 🎉 Endlers are some of the best fish, but I needed a betta to help control the population 😂😂

Fish aren't really my thing but the detail, research and discussion is very nice that it just sucked me in. Another fine video.

I think the background of the intro is from my local pet store. They have all kinds of fish and reptiles. They have been open since the 70s or 80s I believe. “B&B pet stop” for those wondering. What a coincidence.

Some suggestions include: Knife fish (especially ghost knives,) Corydoras, Plecos, and of course Piranhas.
