the USD is the international currency because of its strong anti-corruption practices, making it a reliable currency. You are welcome to use whatever else you like, the US doesn't require anyone to use USD, its just probably going to be more volatile and US companies probably won't bother working with it - but you don't have to work with them if you don't want to.

The market domination is customer driven. Hence supply & demand, its a basic economic principle but it seems the DOJ can't understand that. I guess people who focus on punishing, can't grasp the concept of basic business practise, they probably shouldn't stick their nose into area's that don't apply to them. I can't be illegal to supply people with a well known search engine.
