I don’t think 15 is bad, when I was 15 I wanted to work but was rejected because I didn’t meet the legal age requirement. So I worked independently. I think this will not only teach children good work ethic but also help them earn a little cash for things they like to do. Not everyone has parents to financially support them so this will be a great opportunity. I don’t think they should work ridiculous hours but having that options to make money will be a great opportunity for them

We have social programs for children who don't have parents that make enough money and children can done work at 16. This proposal isn't just for kids to be able to work at 15, it is for children as young as 14 to be able to work long hours at physical and dangerous jobs for less money then someone older working that job. A kid in school does not need to be working more then 20 hours a week. They done have school which they legally have to go to thats taking at least 35 hours of there week combine 20 hours of work and thats a 55 hour week and even most adults do not do that. They do not need to work 30 plus hours a week at hard and dangerous jobs for less pay then the minimum wage to understand the value of a dollar. Honestly even as it sits workers who get more then the minimum wage are under valued based off of the profit they generate. Pay rates have not kept up with the costs of living nor the amount of income we bring in for the companies we work for decades. We get payed by far comparatively less for what we do and all that profit is going to the companies then what the people in the 60s and 50s did and now this isn't enough so they want kids to work long hours not only for less then us, not only for the minimum wage which is far to low in most of these states but for even less then that.

When I was a kid I was out shoveling snow from driveways, mowing lawns, raking leaves, clearing land of brush and rocks, delivering newspapers. etc., and I enjoyed it, searched it out actually. Not just me but most of us kids did this. I grew up in Northern Ontario Canada. Kids are capable of so much and should not be babied after they are babies.

No, it's because of artificial increase in demand because of income inequality (result of lobbying and tax breaks), certain government subsidies, and inefficient supply chains because of monopolistic trends of late stage capitalism. Solve these problems and we would end up with a labour overflow. Don't look at the population change, look at the productivity, whether it has increased or decreased; compared to 1970 productivity has increased by 4 times (and wages have stagnated), so the argument of labour shortage is based on false narrative as there is no real shortage, and the argument becomes even more absurd with the rapid rise in automation.
