There's 7-11s here that removed their outdoor trash cans and also pump really loud music to discourage people from sleeping in their lots. Such a huge difference from how nice the Taiwanese 7-11 looks! Like there's legit food there?! When we go to 7-11 in the states, it's basically like...gas station food. Food that you just get bc it's there but it's like immediately regretting it when you eat it.

7-11s in TW are like crazy! They are open 24/7 and will call you a taxi when you need one in the middle of the night! If you are not contempt with giving up your house address on an online shopping platform you can also get stuff delivered to your local 7-11 and then collect it from there afterwards. And not to mention, as Syd said, that they're like on every street all across TW. Its even more dense in TPE where there are like 2-3 on every road/street!

I just got home when this popped up. I drove up to a 7-11 and at the same time, a homeless I often seen around the area comes walking up as well. I exit my car and was trying to get my wallet out of my bag when a guy comes running out of the store with a case of Corona. Then, the guy working the register jumps over the counter and comes running after them. Right as the thief is running across the parking lot to get to the getaway car, another car full of young men comes zooming in and hits the guy. Dude gets up, still holding the case, cursing at these guys. His friend in the getaway car also starts yelling at them and then said he was going to 🔫💥 💥 them. The employee that got ready to chase the guy hears the same thing, goes back inside and proceeds to lock the doors. The homeless man and I shared a look and dude just turned back around and I immediately said nope and peeled out of there. This all happened in like 5-10 min. This was in Bellflower, CA. I don’t think anything happened. When we got out of the parking lot and drove by them, the thief just got into the car and the other car drove away.

Like there's tons of places like Quicktrip in AZ that aren't amazing but they are clean and fine. They are closer to mini grocery stores. A lot of it depends on the neighborhood you are in for how nice it is. I didn't get the point about how in the US they arent everywhere. I had realized this a long time ago, and it had made me so irrationally mad at the time. 7-11s in the East are so super clean, and they have so much stuff. If you didnt know any better, sometimes you would swear you were in a pop culture store that also just so happened to sell snacks and food. In Japan, 7-11s would even hold events for video games, commonly, like how GameStop and places here have code cards for Pokemon, 7-11s there would do that, among stuff for other games. I remember there was this game I used to play a LONG time ago, I think it was called Puzzle and Dragons. It always held these special limited time events. The events would usually be held at a 7-11 in Japan, and we would never get them. Idk why. Idk if it was a 7-11 exclusivity deal thing. and the US branch couldnt be bothered, but we just wouldnt get them. Also, they are so bright and decorated with all types of cool stuff. Meanwhile, over here 7-11s are at the forefront of the gas station food that will give you horrible diarrhea stereotype
