Story of dealing with contractors: Delays!😉 Ist off, the 2S BetaFPV 75x brushless surely isn't worth double the price of the US65/UK65/UR65 series! So, I'm a no go on it! I paid $15 less than what they want for the BetaFPV 75x 2S for my HGLRC XJB-145. And IMO, it's way, way better fun! Awesome! My idea of a 2S wh00p is my Makerfire Armor 67 that was on promo for $79.99. I love that thing! Not ducted wh00p style prop guards, but carbon fiber is pretty great! A nice design and flyer too. I'm particularly interested in under hundred dollar wh00ps! To summarize my thoughts... The UR/US/UK65 series seems to be the best wh00ps on the market for performance, features, and durability, for our hard earned buck! They simply can't be beat, especially considering we get 3 batteries and that killer little charger! Pure Winners! 😎🤘

Thanks, Nick! I ordered one, and it totally rocks!! I'm coming back to this video with some tiny top tips for anyone enjoying this little beast: - _The battery connector seems pretty iffy_ for many people; I'm actually guessing that was also the case this vid... After switching mine out for another PH2.0, the difference was kind of nuts. More punch, flight time and less sag. Getting almost 270mah out of it now, instead of (much) less than 250! - The UR65 frame is super durable indeed. And lighter, too.. And sexier ;) - The Eachine 4-blades make it run sooooo smooth. it's crazy - The latest BF4.0 dev builds are fantastic for whoops. Don't be afraid to try them out! Hope that was helpful.. Thanks again, Nick, I really appreciate the pace of your flying and reviews!

Thanks a heap for the PIDS Nick!! I think thats the first time I have been able to use someone's advice for a tune and for it to work albiet my crash test 'dought' piloting skills. If I get a good enough recording Ill pop it up here as will be fine tuning your PIDS while building and repairing all the 5'' I have destroyed, or misplaced, or smoked. I was going to check out the review you suggested for the type of plastic weld u use... I have litterally snapped every single strut, duct, in every place imaginable, only just recently discoverd JB weld... this stuff is insane, the tinyest little tiny winey bit you dont want somewhere will need to be filed off with a fine steel file..... trying not to add too much weight differential but I personally recon it has a better 'bounce' off stuff and things. Hi Nick, I just went throught all your comments on this machine. I wondered why nobody had the idea to change the thin pigtail. In my case I was getting a lil bit over a minute until 2.9V and right after takeoff 3.4-3.3V huge voltage sag...and really warm/hot batteries, after replacing the power cable I get amazing 2:50 flight time on original batteries and down to 3.0V ( I only land than because the drawm mAh reaches the capacity of 250mAh and of course looses power rapidly after reaching it). Really nice review, You‘re inspirating! cheers
@NickBurnsFPV6 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is an option. I wonder if your experience has to do with the connection to the battery or the wire awg? I could be the stock connector connection/metal isn't long enough for the conducting connection of the battery and the new connector has a longer "reach".
@dronevan6 жыл бұрын
Nick Burns sadly I‘ve thrown the old pigtail straight away in order to have this comparision done.. but it was defenetively the best choice.. Maybe it was also bad soldered.. check your FB inbox, I‘ve sent you details to it 👍🏽

I just read this, after posting about it too :) At first I swapped _only_ the connector, and that pretty much fixed all major issues. Later, I had to replace the leads and used some thicker ones. I think that made another (but smaller) difference too, even though it's now 0.5g heavier than before. I'm actually getting more mAh out of the batteries now, compared to stock!

My life is flipped upside down without your furniture in there... This one is awesome enough, that I ordered a second one after getting the first. I also can’t really notice the kv difference when flying inside. As far as the frames go, I think it’s placebo. The dip certainly changes the texture, but I’ve pushed the 2 quads together without props(because I had the same rigidity thought), but it really appears that the deflection/rigidity is equal.
@NickBurnsFPV6 жыл бұрын
Your life, sheesh, our life is a pita right now. Kids are going crazy. We are about to get the furniture back and wait 6mins to try again. Do yours weigh 2 grams different? Mine do.

I’m honestly not sure at this point, because I modified my ur65 the instant I got it. The rakon tri-blades are lighter than the stock props, so I used those...I also used a light whoop mount for the camera. I’m a hair under 19 grams with the ur65 and I think I weighed my bone stock us65 at like 21.57 grams? My scale reads a perfect 5 with a nickel, but I’m sure there’s deviations regardless.

Looks like Rango the cat didn't mind this whoop at all, he stayed put, but that was not the case with the BetaFPV 75x, he got out of the way fast...lol Great review. You are probably right about the Hydro-dip paint making the frame and canopy stiffer. The hydro-dip film is relatively much thicker than a spray and consequently hardens significantly and reduces the flexibility of the plastic.
@NickBurnsFPV6 жыл бұрын
Don Wilson in the comments has both and didn't notice a difference, so maybe maybe not. It does weigh 2grams more than my original ur65.

Nick Burns - Little differences do add up, but in cases like this they probably too small to make them meaningful. However, the differences in features versus value, then this bird wins easily since you definitely get more Bang for your buck and that’s always Good.

@NickBurnsFPV6 жыл бұрын
might loosen the screws holding down the canopy. If we squeeze the rubber grommets to much the vibration dampening doesn't work or doesn't work very well.
@NickBurnsFPV6 жыл бұрын
also decrease the dshot from 600 down to 300 then if the twitch is still there try 150. I was doing some test and chatting with another reviewer tonight. In my case lowering dshot down to 150 did decrease the twitch, but it still there and noticeable if you look hard for it. I wouldn't think we would see it all that much if we are focusing on flying rather than looking for the twitch. I was actually hovering to focus on it.
@Crftbt6 жыл бұрын
That advice is appreciated! After switching over to a plastic frame the twitch is gone! I'm wondering if something with teh carbon frame is the cause. I'm going to try to pay closer attention to see if it's just more minute now.

Hi Nick! You're right! I saw another video from a reviewer who compared the UR65 with the US65, showing side by side flight videos, and I too couldn't see a difference! I chalk it up to it's only 2000kv and it's probably most noticeable at very top of the throttle...and who flies tiny wh00ps at full throttle? And for very long, if at all. Is there a weight difference between the two? If there is, I'd venture to guess the US65 is just slightly more... Leading to even less of a noticeable difference. I will say one thing, I sure love my standard kit UR65, with the great charger it comes with! Thanks for the awesome review! 😀 Oh, and the Braves are up by 6.5 games in NL East! You can't believe how fun that team is to watch! With the veterans all stars Freeman at 1st, Markakis in Right, and Inciarte in Center, and Suzuki behind the plate, the rest of the defense is made up of all rookies or very young players! All of which are freaking awesome! Acuna Jr. In left has been the talk of the league! Rookie Albies at 2nd made the all star team and is one of the league leaders in extra base hits and is a superb fielder! Camargo is a new young player (rookie, I think) at third whose tearing it up along with the incredible defense shown daily from Dansby Swanson at SS. That's not even mentioning their incredible pitching staff of young bucks! Folty has the number one average speed for starters in the NL for his fastball! They are truly never out of a game until the last strike! Catch some games Nick, as the playoffs are gonna be fun! I'm telling ya... This team is extra exciting to watch! 👍🤘😁

I suspect the barrel connector and xt60 would be the fastest, but that depends on the battery used and its discharge rate as well as the voltage supplied by the barrel connector. It works as expected, long term I wouldn't expect it to last a really long time, but get by until another charger could be purchased. Does hv and standard, and has two charging rates .6amp and .4amp.

Nice flying! Are you flying this in angle or acro mode? If you use angle, do you calibrate the accelerometer with the quad level, or tilted forward?

Thank you. Acro mode flying. I can't think of a reason to calibrate the accelerometer with any tilt, it would off set the use of angle mode.

I really like the 2s whoops, with that the rakon76, and the betafpv 75x, then the ur65. I personally don't care for the colors on the new us65 or other country colors, and I didn't notice a difference in flight between the two, reviewing the flight footage I felt I flew the ur65 better than the us65, the lack of furniture could have played a role in that...maybe.

The camera angle is adjustable. My fun comes from flying fast. I wouldn't want my flight video from dissuading you from getting one. But I also don't think my place is to suggest everyone wants and needs one. Be sure it can fly much slower, we can naturally control our speed with less or no camera angle.

@SteveGergetz6 жыл бұрын
I'm sick of crappy micro-quads. I just got my UK65 yesterday and flies like a BEAUT. But two MAJOR problems are very much not okay. 1. First flight, after lapping around the house a few times I was harassing our parakeet just hovering next to her cage. I bumped the cage, went off kilter, and dropped to the wood floor. It was only 3.5 feet and essentially dropped to the floor (didn't fly at speed into the floor). One of the hoops cracked. I know some people have said the UK65/US65 frame isn't as durable as the UR is. Well I don't know how durable the UR frame is, but this is ridiculous! One drop...a 28 gram quad falling under only its own weight 3.5 feet...and a hoop cracks? Completely ridiculous that any company would produce something of this quality in an $80+ micro quad. They couldn't have saved more than 5 cents using [apparently] cheaper plastic on the US/UK than on the UR. Disappointing. 2. With a totally full brand new stock battery that came with the UK65, it began flashing "Low Battery" within 10 seconds of take off. Literally. And within the first minute it was telling me to "Land Now". When I saw reviewers with the same problem I thought I'd be able to "fix" the voltage limits in Betaflight, but at the stock settings my battery was at 3.4v after the flight...so no room to lower them. I really don't understand these micro-quad manufacturers. If we were having this conversation 18 months ago, I guess I could understand it. But Whooping is fairly mature now, and you'd think they'd figure out which plastics are tough and resilient and which ones are NOT. And releasing to the consumers an $80 quad that tells you the battery is low 10 seconds after take off? C'mon. This UK65 has SO many strong points, but I can't believe they turn a blind eye to glaring defects like these. Disappointed.
@NickBurnsFPV6 жыл бұрын
I haven't had an issue with the frame, it does feel different than the UR65. I would check the motors for hairs and to be sure they are spinning freely, or maybe a motor or more shifted and the c clip is rubbing on the frame. Unfortunately I think the Chinese business culture is much different than other countries. They appear to take a shot gun approach. Make a bunch of stuff, and see what sells the best. The only micro alternative is horizon hobby, I believe they are the only other "developed" company to create whoops. Even with that the new brushless one from them isn't sounding very good.

@NickBurnsFPV6 жыл бұрын
That will help. I haven't flown mine with the plastic frame all that much. Did it make a big improvement?
@minkorrh6 жыл бұрын
Well, it certainly seems a little 'punchier' and I would think 4 gms is a fair bit for something so small. As for flight times I can't say for sure. I have about ten of those GNB 550mah HV 4.35v batteries and half are slightly puffed so I can't really say. Haven't noticed an improvement timewise.
