We all had dreams of living in a big house but at a certain stage due to age we must be content and be realistic. -In as much as the house beautiful,l feel they could have better invested in a number of duplexes to sell or rent that would be their PASSIVE INCOME STREAM FOR LIFE. -Right now their money is tied in this liability. -This is not an asset. -With their age they needed not a house with stairs. -l know many will think l am envious but that is not the case. -As black Zimbabweans we are very materialistic. -What we call investment is actually liabilities. -With what they have spent so far,they would have finished blocks of flats. -By the time they finish building,furnish it l am sure it will be over a million then to maintain it. -Again l am not hating but given a different perspective. -If you reply let’s discuss my different perspective

No it's not hating at all. It's just a different perspective, and its a valid point. Just that for us, our investments are not limited to Zimbabwe, but we have other income-generating real estate investments in the Caribbean so the investment in Zimbabwe is not for business. Running a business in Zimbabwe is a nightmare in the highly unstable economy of Zig, USD, bond notes, etc. The Caribbean is a better environment for passive income real estate investment than Zimbabwe..

This property is an investment , they can sell it if they don’t see it beneficial to them . Affording something is not being materialistic . Your point is not coming out quite clear .
