Great vid! I'm relatively new to soccer and don't really have a clear idea of how soccer strategy and tactics work. This is the first video I've seen that really demonstrates where each player fits in and how players coordinate. First rate.

Thank you very much. I'm glad it made sense to you and my jargon wasn't too niche. It's great feedback to know some people who watch these videos may not be tactical junkies. It's great to hear you enjoyed it.

Damn homey how am I just barely getting ur channel recommended? Fantastic video. I’ve been watching Tac and 11 yanks for a while now but I love watching other people break down tactics in this way. Subbed!

This is one of the best tactical breakdowns I have seen. Subbed. Keep making this content. You should do live watch along streams my friend.

Thanks a lot. I''ll keep making videos. The topics may be all over the place but that's part of the fun. I do plan on doing livestreams at some point. My audience has been pretty small so I haven't yet seen the need but I hope to do it sooner than later. Thanks for recommending that.

This is the result of putting Puli in the center instead of away from the point of attack. Nothing else really changed, it's just that the possibilities for passing lanes and movement are endless when the other side's entire central D and D-mid are soaked up by ONE PLAYER. This is how things COULD have been since before T&T under Arena, and what JK was building towards before Brooks and Bradley tanked in the Hex to get him fired- because they were getting replaced.

Yeah very good point. It's about time Pulisic is given the keys to the middle of the park. What do you think will happen with Reyna (if he's ever fit again)?
@colinreeseКүн бұрын
@@campfirefootballThe logical move is to play Pulisic as a second striker with Reyna as the 10, and then you have two players roaming all over. If it doesn't work for some reason, then something can be adjusted. Maybe Reyna in the line of two of a diamond midfielder with Pulisic at the tip of the diamond as a 10. It should work to have two guys roaming all over.
@colinreeseКүн бұрын
Facts. I've been telling people this for years. Nobody listened.
@asnark711510 сағат бұрын
@@campfirefootball Reyna is awe inspiring. He can flank the attack or even sit up at the 9 and change any match. He can stand still and play rhythm passing and shift teams around much better than Puli can. The solution to keeping Reyna fit is to let him pick his own pace and make defenders chase the ball. Even pressing won't be a problem for him if Puli is playing tight to the 9 spot, because it forces the other guys defending him to do all the running and shifting. All he hs to do is pick the defender with the best passing and sit on him. It's all down to getting Puli up close to the top of the 18.
@asnark711510 сағат бұрын
@@colinreese I agree with that.

I hate to say this but idk if Adams fits into this type of play. Guess we'll see. Dest and Reyna should thrive though.
@campfirefootball12 сағат бұрын
Well he's got to get fit and play consistently. Or else this team will just have to move on. There are a lot of personnel questions I am looking forward to finding out.

@@OnceLer-f6p Pulišić. Do you see that š?
@mdfrenchyКүн бұрын
He starts off with, "I know it's just Jamaica". Did everyone forget the result of the last time we played Jamaica under Berhalter? We do not have the status, at present, to just dismiss a Jamaican team as "just Jamaica". Hopefully we'll get there. This game was definitely a step in the right direction.
@campfirefootball12 сағат бұрын
You are correct, taking Jamaica for granted is not something the US has the right to do. What I meant is this isn't a top side like Spain, Germany, France, Argentina etc. It's all well and good to look this dominant against a CONCACAF rival but will this tactical plan work against better teams. We'll see.
@OnceLer-f6p12 сағат бұрын
@@mdfrenchy I don’t think Jamaica is a good parameter. We should be positive but it’s just Jamaica and beside that are not doing well. The game vs Canada will be a real test and see if we can do the same. Measured celebrations are justified.

If we get a healthy and starting Betis player in Johnny. I don’t see Adam’s staring for the U.S tessman and Johnny is are really good ball playing defenders.
@campfirefootball12 сағат бұрын
Yeah there's possibly a place for him. I like Johnny. Tessman is more my type of box to box midfielder. But Cardozo could have a role. Adams is going to have to get fit and consistent or he won't get in this team. Which is a good thing. You have to be at the top of your game and it's nice to see there are options.
