Hi Matt! I just came across your videos. When you got Horseshoe Bossier City, it's close to my heart. My dad and uncle had a huge role in it's opening in 1994. My dad was it's marketing director and his brother, my uncle, was head of construction. Before the openings, they had actual meetings with Jack Binion and learned what he wanted. My dad went on to open his own advertising business and my uncle stayed until he retired. My uncle is part of the Horseshoe Bossier City Walk of Fame outside the main entrance. When it first opened, it was only the riverboat. The hotel came a couple of years later. It's still a beautiful property and I'm glad you got to see it! Take care and be safe!

Be careful, it's a windy road. Btw, if you want authentic Mexican food, stop by at that little Taco shop at the round about on the left side 😉 Also....if you're Diamond at this casino you can get free Red Bulls 😁

Hi Matt! I honestly thought about taking the three hour drive north to come meet you, but unfortunately work wouldn’t allow it. I live about an hour and a half away from New Orleans, but that’s one casino I never had a desire to visit and I think I’ve been to just about every one of them in Louisiana. Shreveport/Bossier is normally my go to. The riverboat thing may be fun at first, but it gets old very quickly. None of these Louisiana casinos compete with Vegas in my opinion. Hopefully our paths will cross someday. Good luck for the remainder of your trip. I’ll be sure to keep watching!

And the high limit area may have been empty while you were there, but there can be a LOT of money and high limit players there. I’ve actually bigger seven star players there than in Vegas. Tell us how you really feel about Horseshoe Lake Charles. Yea, I only went to Horseshoe LC for the freeplay they gave me. I have been to Horseshoe Bossier a few times since we have dear friends in Shreveport. Very nice property. The steakhouse is awesome :)

Matt, I spent so much time there, I went to their monthly VIP parties, in the early 2001-2005. Back before CET, it was equal to the Wynn.

It was founded by Jack Binion; Becky Binion got Binion's Horseshoe LV and he built this and others. Binion also built the other property you visited, in Tunica. Both Steve Wynn & Jack Binion had the two best properties, in the South!

When Jack Binion sold out to CET at the "top of the market," he became a billionaire. When Becky went bankrupt, CET bought her LV property, for The World Series of Poker.

The reason you like this property, is that Jack Binion designed & built it, while the "fools of Reno," rebuilt the Isle of Capri Lake Charles, into the crap you stayed at. You missed the opportunity, to stay at the only Casino Resort in the Deep South, to fully compete with Ultra high end play, with Strip Vegas Casinos. Private plans, villas, celebrity steakhouse, high-end shopping (like here too), amazing golf course: it was all there, but sadly you missed it!

Diamond Jacks, is the replacement of the Isle of Capri. It has a very nice "Hyatt type" ten story atrium, along with an all suite hotel, which Binion's is as well.

The Isle of Capri rooms in Lake Charles & elsewhere, were all brightly colored, with a Margaritaville type theme. That one property, PAID FOR ALL THE OTHER HOTELS IN THE CHAIN! The business in both the Isle Lake Charles & the Horseshoe Bossier, were the highest grossing of their respective chains. The Wednesday night business at the Horseshoe was incredible, with the "Wednesday roof top parties." Notice now everything is now all gone? Few to no players; pure 24 karat gold, taken to shit!

Jack Binion built that property in the late 90's. He sold it to Harrah's/Ceasar's in about 2004. It was never a Boyd property. Also, the million dollar wall is real.
