I may have looked away from the screen for a few seconds while driving this, and when I looked back, I was going much slower than expected. Turns out I was running over an R3 which was completely eclipsed by the size of the tank. 10/10, would squish again.

Just a point of note: the main gun of the M6 Heavy is not the M1 76mm gun that was mounted to the shermans, but the M7 3 inch gun found on the M10 Wolverine. still a great gun, but fucking HEAVY since it was developed from an AA gun rather than as a AT gun directly (like the later M1 was).

The M6A1 is by far the most underated vehicle in the entire game. It has a high pen, high velocity 75mm cannon with a solid APHE round, a coaxial 37mm, a stablizier, 3 50.cals, solid mobility and decent armor, this thing shreds 3.7s and 4.0s like no tommorow

I love the M6. It's such a good tank, survivable with the 76mm at a fairly low br. Yeah it's slow, but it also has the backup 37 for tracks and barrels. Glad to see it getting some love.

I adore this thing. The M6A1 is honestly one of the best tanks I've ever played. As long as you play it right (kinda closer to a medium) you can get all kinds of success. I've even gotten quite a few 37mm kills, including ammoracking an M18 with one shot. Though usually I use it to either bait people or track/barrel them.

I'm sad this is going up to 5.0 when they FINALLY move the M42 Duster down to 4.7 so it can be used with the 4.7 lineup. Can't be mad though, it's really damn good for the BR. I'll miss treating KV-1s like they don't matter. Especially the up armored ones 😈

the Armored Corps had lost interest in the project. The advantages the M6 offered over medium tanks - its much thicker armor and slightly more powerful gun - were offset partly by the shortcomings of the design - such as very high silhouette, awkward internal layout and reliability problems - and partly by logistical concerns due to its weight. In early 1942, the Ordnance Department set a production target of 250 a month, with Fisher as a second contractor to meet a planned expansion in the size of the army.[4] However, by September, the focus had changed, with tank production scaled back and more aircraft for the USAAF. Under this new "Army Supply Program", the M6 production was cut from 5,000 to a little over 100.[4] By the end of 1942, the Armored Corps were of the opinion that the new M4 Sherman gave adequate solution for the present and the near future, while being reliable, cheap and much easier to transport and they had no need for a heavy tank. In 1943, the production target was reduced again, down to 40,[4] being an economic cut-off.[5] Production M6 and pilot M6A1 examples were evaluated at Fort Knox in the early part of 1943. The reports were critical of the awkward and inefficient crew stations, and the superfluous 37mm gun.[6] However, in October, the tank had performed well enough at Aberdeen Proving Ground to proceed.[7] The Ordnance Corps had expected the 75 mm gun to be lacking, and the T1E1 prototype was tested with a T7 90 mm gun and was found to be a satisfactory gun platform, although the poor turret layout was again noted. By this point, the M6 had been cancelled.[8] In August 1944, the Ordnance Corps recommended modifying the T1E1s to build 15 specially armored and armed tanks to meet a need for attacking heavily fortified areas. These 77-ton vehicles - designated M6A2E1 - with thicker (equivalent to 7.5-inch (190 mm) vertical protection) glacis armor and a turret developed for the T29 Heavy Tank, armed with a T5E1 105 mm gun but no increase in engine power. Ordnance believed they could be delivered by November. The proposal was put to the supreme commander in Europe General Eisenhower, who rejected them as impracticable. Two tanks were used to test the T29 turret and gun, but their armor was not modified.[9] On 14 December 1944, the M6 was declared obsolete. Only 40 had been produced and they never left US soil. Several toured the United States for propaganda purposes, where they gave performance displays (such as car crushing) at War Bond drives and the like. All were eventually scrapped except for a single T1E1, which was put on display at the United States Army Ordnance Museum, Aberdeen, Maryland.

Yeah but the problems with that are not as bad as the M6 First one it's a premium vehicle so it's optional by definition. In second place the KV-1c sits in a very unbalanced TT, so it's not that bad if you get killed in it, because you can spawn with the mighty Panther D and don't risk your game. Finally the USA line up at 5.0 stinks and you can't get a single tank with armour and a good cannon. The M6 it's not a great tank because of its armour but because of its gun! Sometimes I put in my line up even the M-10, early game it's absolutely a beast. The next tank to get this treatment is the KV-85 or the T-34-57 1943

Actually the T1E5/6s are experimental version of the production M6 but only a handful were built and never fought in WW2 the T1s did.

Purely on the armor standpoint, the M6 is very weak. But at 4.7 now 5.0 its got a very good armament snd crew layout, plus from the front any shots to the dual .50 are blocked so your more survivable than it looks, and its mobility and stabilized 76mm are just very good

I love this tank, and i almost always play it alongside shermans when playing US. For takeout, i'd suggest the local franchise Hungry Lion, which makes better and cheaper KFC then KFC does. Also my mom is tiny, half the size of anyone else in the family.
