Can you tell about the other counters where the interviews were going on because, as per my first experience in Mum consulate out of 4 counters two was mostly approving and other two mostly rejecting (mostly means more than 90%). Which i saw with my eyes and couldnt believe, but it was true. So, can you share the others counters experience which you might have observed in Kol consulate, means where they approving or rejecting or being neutral.

There were only three counters. One other counter rejected a person before me but I could observe that they were not answering properly. The other counter was fine.

On your visa interview day,what do you think might be the percentage of visas approved?

I don't think I can give you a percentage accurately (most of the approval percentages you would see online are not 100% true) However, in front of me, there were around 5-6 people and only 1 of them got rejected because I think she was really nervous and not answering promptly. It depends on you entirely, how you answer and your profile.

@@sumaiyaakter8274 you can say that you will search for accommodation post the interview. You need to show them that you’re not making any plans until your visa is approved.

For Visa interview, better to wear formals.. For biometric, it is fine if you go in casuals but I went with formals for both to avoid any confusion

@@BanauliFakira they might ask questions about the gap as you have to report the year and academic details. If you have genuine reasons, they would be fine. It depends on how your interviewer is and how you explain the gap

Go through basics of your application and why you want to go to usa, which colleges did you apply, why this course and what will you do after the course… there are endless number of questions so you can only be prepared for a few but confidence is the key. Do a lot of mock interviews and ask friends to randomly ask you questions to help your mindset

@@DadaSingh-ju8zp I don’t think there are any fixed ratings or percentages. It all depends on the candidate : I know a lot of people share numbers but these are just some random numbers being thrown around without considering the performance of a candidate. To summarise it shortly- do not worry about ratings. Just prepare, do your best and be positive.
