You make a good point about trailer parks that are actually filled with what we call mobile homes. If it's a nice mobile home, then people will call it a mobile home park. If it's a shitty mobile homes, then it's a trailer park. Caravan in 'Murica means travelling as a group. Not sure how ya'll down under think it's better to refer to it as a one type of vehicle. That's cooked. When referring to a "Caravan", we usually will say Winnebago. Which is also a bit cooked because it's the name of one particular brand of driveable camping home. We do the same thing with bandaids.

caravan is a type of van in US, and "cooler" is more of a kkona thing i call them ice chest/box. i personally don't tip anything because as you said it's literally just a way to get around paying them less and fuck that... if a waiter gets mad at me for not tipping they can suck me off from behind take it up with your fucking boss about your wage not the person you're giving a service to. imagine if tipping was in ANY other service or product industry it'd be fucking insane. go to the shop and then have to tip the checker for bagging ur shit? no. they got a god damn wage for a reason.

They make more than the kitchen staff and are sometimes required to split their tips with the kitchen staff to share some of that big money bounty. That said, it's largely dependent on being attractive and working your ass off constantly catering to every whim.

She quit to become a teacher and now makes about half that amount. I do agree though, it seems highly variable and I'm sure some people wind up making pretty shit money on some days.
