Hey Seth, Love the analysis of your games and how you break down your opponents playing styles and explain your approach to countering them, it's really helped me when it comes to thinking about the game tactically. I'm pretty sure my training partner and I have watched all of your videos and whenever we chat about them, we are always in awe about your movement and the speed of your footwork, and it's always a great motivator for me to improve my fitness by watching your hyper aggresive playstyle. I'd love to hear more about your TT career. What was it like playing internationally? Biggest wins/Worst losses? What was your training like as a kid? Are you a full time player or do you coach/have a 'normal' job? Really enjoy watching every video, please keep it up!

Thank you, thats the reason I started making them, I felt a dialogue needed to be started about what players think about during a match, I believe that everyone sees the game slightly differently and my way of seeing the game is not "right" but Its important to have ideas. Thats a good idea, I think that maybe I can put my history in videos in bits and pieces for people to get to know the journey Ive had in this awesome crazy hard sport!

Do you feel better with Vuscaria or VS unlimited. It will be good if you can make compareison video
@PechPongTT Жыл бұрын
I like VS Unlimited it has a higher throw I feel the sweet spot is larger as well as the blade is overall a little faster, however I got a spare recently because I only had the one that was sitting around my house for some years and the two are very different. The new one has to age quite a bit it has less feeling and is even faster that the older one. So If I were someone I would give the blade some time to break in maybe 4 months of playing before it really comes into its own. Viscaria is an amazing blade amazing feel and it’s a perfect combination of hold and bounce to play any shot you want be it a spiny loop or a punch shot or smash which is not always the case with blades. It’s fast while staying very controllable in the short game. I was looking for more speed and just happened to have an old VS unlimited sitting around.

@@PechPongTT surprised blade properties change as they get age ?
@PechPongTT Жыл бұрын
@@wilmslowleaguetabletennis2539 yes i was surprised as well it was big big difference. I’m taking good care of my blade because I don’t know if I will get the other to be as good, we will see if I have to find a new blade or go back to viscaria once this blade is used up I will but for now I’m going to ride it out.

Hi Seth, love the videos. I'm a beginner-intermediate. Question on when you deliver the backhand flips, against skilled players, it seems like they come back faster and harder, which puts the original attacker (you) now in more defensive position. Isn't this bad? (i.e. a disincentive??) Is it a placement issue?? Should we be always backhand flip to the elbow or wide, so that the opponent doesn't use it as a weapon to loop it back harder and faster. How do you stop the opponent from using the speed and spin of the backhand flip against you when they return it?
@PechPongTT2 жыл бұрын
hi! good thoughts, yeah it sometimes backfires and ends up giving the opponent an easy ball. I can improve the quality of my flip and they will start to block the ball more, but like you said I can also mix the placement to the elbow which is something I often times have to do because my opponents are just attacking my flips too strong.
