Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov reportedly made a rare call to his American counterpart earlier this month to relay a warning about an alleged Ukrainian plot against Moscow. Russia must have detected some plot by Ukraine that may escalate to nuclear exchanges and felt that USA, if it is behind it, should be reminded of the grave risks.
