Idk but it may be easier if you don't side arm it.

He is not side arming when you are bending down .... that is a snap throw to shorten the throw to make a faster play

playing with softball is harder bc the ones I use is very bouncy

You have to buy the right balls. You are using practice balls. They are not really good for anything other than batting practice. You need to buy a game regulation ball to practice with.
