We worked for this company as Owner Operator for about 2 months and was more than enough time to find out they are scamming Owner Operator. This is a video for anyone thinking of signing up with Usa Truck Inc.

Sounds like you guys had it good as company drivers. On the other hand, mostly all companies just use and abuse owner ops / lease carriers to their benefit, when they have loads, that their own drivers can cover. 3rd party carriers only benefit when the industry is "good" because of volume and demand. Of course different pay rates, different expenses for both that's how trucking is and has been. There's pros and cons even in Trucking! Just have to weigh it out... keep your head up! Great that you guys got hired with Land Star. Reference to that USA Carrier situation, letting you know there is a pay for every situation or position in trucking. If you are leased on to a carrier there is a price they will pay you. If you have your own authority (pay your own insurance 15k to 30k/year, own fuel, your own everything the price is different. Company driver get pay is also different. To me, least on or company driver just about the same. Now, we are in a troubled economy where company drivers are averaging a bit better at this moment. There are companies where company drivers make very good money where no need to go owner operator cause money is that good. It’s about your choices - whom you work for!

I totally understand where you’re coming from but they pretend is no more money on the loads and there is. They get loads $3-$4 a mile and give to us for $1.80 - $2 ☠️.

Congrats on your Landstar move I’m with USA Truck rn OO & I can tell the voice on the phone you was Speaking with Robert he’s my driver manager he is super laid back like he could care less, I make good money when I run hard I made $2500 a week for like 3 weeks straight the problem I ran into when I went to Maine or Vegas for the new years my checks ended up being negative because I got stuck out there I always book 1-2 weeks out because the loads already be crappy but sometimes if you know the hotspots like I learned I sit right in them areas for the good 3-4 mile loads to pop up & I be on them good luck to yall

Oh yeah I just started with them just completed my 90 days the only reason I stay because no one would hire me I’m waiting on my mvr to fully clear which should be the end of this year I could make way more at jb hunt or Schneider or landstar from the good folks I follow USA truck at the bottom far as loads both quality & quantity 🥴

Yeap. Thats the reason i stayed 2 months there as O/O. My girl needed the 2 months to complete the one year experience in order for us to go to a better place.
