Many thanks for the video - just thinking of starting a shilling date run . Have pennies half penny farthings done (just upgrading when I can) and slowly building Three Pence Silver / Half Silver (I think I have all the brass 3d) and Six Pence.

Did you buy the US coins as a lot or individually

@@mattscoins Thanks, I usually buy individual coins. It seems like with lots sometimes the coins aren't as high of quality as I would like. though you get the surprise factor with lots that can be fun.

These lots From Numismatic Auction are mostly small lots with good photos so what you see is what you get. There are exceptions, such as with the albums first day covers where only one or two photos of common FDC's are shown on the listing. Therefore finding that one FDC that is worth (sold prices on eBay) 5 times what you paid for the lot makes it worth while (true story, I won an album of FDCs with these coins, three FDC's worth 5 times the price of the lot, each!). I am on more of a date run collection for the US, nice coins are welcomed but not of primary concern.
