For context, 25 degrees C is a nice day in the southern US, and 35 is pretty common (77 degrees F and 95 degrees F for my fellow muricans)

The newspaper meme for Americans changing the lettering of words just reminded me of the fact that due to the French not liking the letter Þ, þ (called "thorn, or þorn) they removed it. And now it's a rarely used letter, which annoys me for some reason. Would like to see it on a standard keyboard without having to rebind a key.

Hate to break it to you, but soccer has been called soccer (or soccer Football) just to differentiate it from rugby ( Rugby Football) and this only till the very early 1900s. And globally its mostly called football ( Fussball in german or futbol in spanish). The Point is: nobody called it soccer since over a hundret years. Its just you and your canadian/australian besties Instead everyone turned to calling your kind of Football American Football. Its Football just accept it. ❤
