I think it is realistic comparison. However, I can only talk about north-east of EU. In Europe, the main idea of MBA is advancing within existing company or in the field you are already working. I think this is overlooked in many topics I see in reddit or other forums. But really the main difference for me is that US MBA is well regarded in EU, but not vice versa. Maybe UK is more regarded, than the rest of Europe. So you made many good points which elsewhere are not covered.

Europe is good but for most of the people language is the barrier so us is the safe and best option and b if I mean the studies are in English so it's bit easy
@adrianbruno-mba3 жыл бұрын
At the top-tier schools in Europe, all courses are in English. Smaller schools offer the local language. Generally though, I would recommend the US though. It's a better experience

What do you think about online MBAs? For example, CMU Tepper costs 150k, while Imperial College London is 50k.
@adrianbruno-mba4 ай бұрын
Online programs are good if you want to work while you are studying, and if your employer will promote you based on the MBA degree. Otherwise, I would always go with an in-person full-time MBA program!

Hi Adrian! Thanks for the video. I'm currently trying to decide between an MBA in America vs. Europe (I'm American). I see you did a little bit of both and was curious -- did you get to study at Yale through IESE study abroad? Or, how did you study in two different schools? I ask because I'm trying to find an American school that would allow me to do a portion of my studies in Europe, since living abroad is high up on my priority list but I realize the contacts I'd make in the U.S. would make more sense for me. Just wondering more about your specific experience. Thanks!
@adrianbruno-mba2 жыл бұрын
I went to Yale through IESE and it was all merit-based. I did a video about the MBA Exchange here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3rFnIaYl61qirc Feel free to check it out. I am shedding some light on the option to do attend a partner school abroad. Basically, all top-tier schools have partner schools. Take the Top 20 of the US and you can attend the Top 20 of Europe - and vice versa. Some schools let you choose your partner school based on your grades, others give you "points", which are given to you to select Electives or a Study Abroad Program and depending on supply and demand, you are given your choice. Here is my advice: Your target schools in the US will show you a list of partner schools abroad. Check if the partner schools you would like to go to are on that list. Then try to understand how you can attend those schools. Every school has a different mechanism. I hope that helps...

What about online mbas from US or EU universities? Great video btw.
@adrianbruno-mba Жыл бұрын
Thanks Gaurang! Online MBAs are slightly different overall. If you want to stay with your employer and just want to move up the ladder, I suggest an Online MBA. Networking-wise it is less efficient as a traditional MBA. It all depends on what you are looking for out of an MBA

Depends on the School, outside the top 10, the US MBA is worthless, there are too many MBA from low ranked schools that no one care about their graduate. Top 10 USA still carry weight because they use GMAT for admission

@adrianbruno-mba3 жыл бұрын
From what I have been told from fellow Indian students is that brand names of US schools carry more weight in India. Hence, I would suggest the US. On the other hand, if you want to learn a new language and experience the European lifestyle, go to Europe! :-)

Your thoughts on MBA in Canada?

I would say Rotman is the school to go in Canada, followed by HEC Montreal. It depends on where in Canada you want to end up working
