It was considered for use in Europe, but Europe was a relatively short range theater of war, so the B-17, and B-24 soldiered on. One B-29 was parked up at an airfield in England to ensure the Luftwaffe got a good photo of it. The idea was to intimidate the Germans into thinking that there was a B-29 build up in Britain.
