Oh baby! This was my first year of 100% engagement with series at age 7. Attended both Milwaukee Mile races that year, still remember them like it was last week. THANK YOU for the HISTORICAL POST

The Dick Wallen Racing films were great to watch ... Simple narration and stimulating music. I saw "Big Al" win Indy and the Hoosier Hundred. I cassette stereo recorded the Hoosier Hundred...played that cheap quality tape till it jammed and broke. Wish I had kept it for future repair. Near the end of the 1970 year I saw Al do a bit of Firestone tire testing at I.M.S. What a sound and sight to watch literally all alone in the first turn grandstand! 1970 was a great year for the U.S.A.C. Champ. He tied Foyt's 1964 year record, if I recall. Great 1970 review of Champ Car racing. There were a lot of great drivers back then...many of them sadly passed away...including the famous Unser brothers.

It's a shame there is no film from Trenton in the Spring (between Sears Point and Indy). IMHO it was the best race of the season and one of the best of the decade. A great 3-way battle between Maro-Al Unser and Lloyd Ruby. Lloyd Ruby made a charge and passed Mario very late in the race for the win

Someone needs to make a new oval that's a replica of Trenton.

Thanks for sharing this, my Friend! Wallen produced some quality stuff and you've done well preserving it.

The 1970 Rex Mays Classic and the 1970 Tony Bettenhausen race at Milwaukee has been lost footage and this Season Highlight is the only way to see the race. Is it okay if I can upload the 1970 Rex Mays Classic and the 1970 Tony Bettenhausen 200 on my IanPerez2000 2nd Channel? Thanks, I wanted to ask

I'm not exactly the one to ask since I don't exactly own the rights to this video. :P As far as I'm concerned you can do what you want.
