That is why Kody is king, has most wins, smooth driving, but also loves the history of the dirt champ cars, and gives credit where its due when there are other drivers doing well in a race, hes just generally a nice guy, too bad Roarig keeps having some gremlins with that new chassie still at 3rd place again is not bad and no easy feat especially in a race like this or last year when it was the full hundred miles.

Kody is one of the best that I've ever seen. Never mentioned was the drive of the day, C.J. Leary in Gossel's #06, from 22nd to 4th! Gossel gave C.J. his car after the #6 suffered engine problems on Friday.

Australian Sprintcar Fan here. I LOVE these Silver Crown Cars, but do prefer them on the dirt. I think it asks a lot more from the driver as well. The dirt will always be my first preference for these Cars. Love it.

the game plan was to do 146 laps a full 100 miles but the rain took too much time up and so they kept it at 100 laps the following morning also cuz several were running in the little 500 as well, both are really long races takes its toll on the endurance

Champ Cars on asphalt - what's the point? Man I hate to see the situation Champ Car racing is in. So few miles left for these things to show us how's the BOSS. I'll never forget the bark of the old Offys or the 4 cam Fords splitting the air molecules inside our ears. Those were fun days.

yes they are dirt champ cars, for sure and everyone knows the hoosier's true home is at the state fair the crown jewel of all of usac, and its highest paying silver crown race, sue smackdown pays 30 grand but those are sprint cars, there are three miles left and certainly if rails were set up and a catch fence horsetracks could be on the menu, shelbyvill for example is a dirt mile and just outside the indy metro at 20 ish miles outside the city of indy, but no stands no wall no catch fence, though I am sure if you had the funds to put that up horseshoe casino and track might just be open to it or building a dirt track at irp, I would certainly contribute to a fundraiser to do it and maybe one day they will or get them to expand the track at indy motor speedway I bet there is enough room to make it a half mile tight but big enough to run silvercrown maybe if they can fit sprintcars. that said, you get the crowns on a fast track they rip, and the top compeating drivers today though are your pavement specialists, kody says hes better on pavement when I talked to him in the pits and you got santos, roarig, ferns, bischak who usually qualifies very well, and the armstrong family, they are all pavement, also there are guys that do both well like leery and seavey, the pavement is where the overall highest skilled drivers are found I would say, but I prefer dirt, though in indiana only terre haute is big enough for this, though at the sumar even on the half oh those things scream and are much neater to watch as the high torque lifts the left side and they stay backed in to the turn much of the way around it each lap. or at the 4 crowns where they are running them like sprints running at frenzied pace as they only got 25 miles to get it done and win the dirt puts on the better show.
