Pretty cool how you can see the vectoring flame of the afterburner.

A little weird to me how to plume moves around like it's a single solid piece and not like like like waves in a fluid.
@superskullmaster2 жыл бұрын
@@h8GW supersonic flow moves almost like a solid. There is a reason you see shock diamonds in the flow and it has to do with very sudden changes in pressure (think almost solid air).

This means in a real combat scenario that flamme at the back of F22 is the real weakness . If the aircraft body is invisible on enemy radar ,that flamme is not invisible to powerful heat seek sattelite based in space.

F-22: 2 engines, flies faster, is more stealthy, more maneuverable, more technologically advanced. F-35: 1 engine, slower, less stealthy, less maneuverable, less technologically advanced. Yeah right

@My Username - but they don't make F-22s anymore, if I recall correctly. Higher specs, but higher priced too. F-35 is at least going to still continue production. The B version looks cool in VTOL.
@ParadigmUnkn0wn2 жыл бұрын
Lots of planes out there flying that haven't been produced in decades, but they're still a vital part of the fleet and get maintained the same as anything else. The F-35 is a jack of all trades and a master of none. Even beyond mission roles, it was designed to be exportable to allies. The F-35 is not an air superiority fighter and will never fill that role. There's already talk and images of alleged functional prototypes circulating of America's 6th generation air superiority fighter. The F-22 will continue to fill its role until its replacement arrives, and the F-35 does not replace the F-22.
