My father was a crew chief for them at Nellis when I was a kid and got to watch them all the time and the other fighter jets everyday and never got old such a great job they do makes me proud to be apart of this

Wonderful ❤ I saw the Thunderbirds many years ago at the American Air Base in Upper Heyford 1990 i think possibly. In the 70s at Upper Heyford Air display I saw The Lightning and The Galaxy, can remember it like it was yesterday 😊

They were great! I remember going to a show at Otis Air Base, Mass. Sometime around 1961, when I was a kid, there was an accident right in front of us, very sad. But I also saw them in Vero Beach, Fla, Years later. They were great. It's a shame they don't perform anymore.

Turkish stars 7 f5 flies 90 cm upside down and upside down at supersonic 1000 km speed. When 3 planes intersect, they are 3 m apart. Solotürk f 16 makes 8 auger movements. The pilot is exposed to a terrific g force.

the reason why the blue angels change is because Boeing made a better f 18. I don't think that there's a "Super Viper" so I doubt it. but if were lucky they might change to a modified f-35. who knows?

I don't think they'll change any time soon, they have pretty 'new' F-16s so should have plenty of life in them. In my opinion their next aircraft will likely be a T-7 so I think they will cling to the F-16 for as long as possible.

@@AirshowStuffVideos I think your assessment is probably correct. I can't see DoD ever dedicating F-35s to this mission, and that airplane brings nothing to the show that the Viper can't do. The Viper is still ubiquitous in the AF and will be for at least another decade. The T-7 would be an ideal mount for the T-Birds when the time comes. It's a pretty aircraft that will be a far better airshow airplane than the T-38 ever was, and far safer.

Recalling a day, "T Birds" Just flying around the base, practice formation?.Out at the small arms firing range, 1976 -77. Had an M-60 machinegun class, firing. Range was up, they flew over and through our firing. I recall seeing a tracer round going OVER the chase bird. We were lucky

Have a question for anybody that can help: Was driving from Vegas to Springdale UT last summer and happened to catch all six Thunderbirds in formation about 400’ crossing the highway. Coming back to Vegas, in the same area I saw some F22s, and F35s in the sky. Does anybody know a good area to watch the activity from Nellis AFB? I’m not from that area of the country but am heading back and wanted to watch while not driving. Thanks!

Many people park on the side of Las Vegas Blvd next to the Speedway to watch for a bit. Please just make sure to stay well clear of the road and DO NOT park on the base side of the road, only the speedway side! Enjoy!
