Lol, not air force, but air farce, imagine just one bullet injured someone and damaged the helicopter. Chinese and Russian must be laughing hard for sure.

I think this is one of the UH-1N’s assigned to first helicopter squadron. The paint scheme looks correct. I was a flight mechanic there between 77-80. I think the reference to one shot was a story I saw where someone shot at one of the helicopters in April 2020, wounding a crewman and doing minor damage to the helicopter. Daniel, keep in mind this helicopter is not armed and is no longer a front line combat helicopter. It’s used for VIP transport in the Washington DC area. I have combat time in this helicopter, when it was armored. Believe me, it can take a lot of damage and keep flying. The Army didn’t fly this model. The Air Force, Marines and maybe the Navy flew them. This model Huey still flys well to be 50 years old!

Hueys have been around this long for a reason.. Because they are a dam good helicopter. Reliable, rugged,simple to maintain and can multitask or basicly take on a variety off roles. Anyone to dis this helicopter obviously don't know their helicopters...
