The guy is tall and long limbed. Runners with that body composition are bad to mediocre starters by default. It’s the shorter, stockier guys who come out like bullets. He has to compensate that with his stride and his acceleration in the drive phase, it obviously worked, but I keep wondering how fast he would have been if he somehow, miraculously overcame that disadvantage.

He has the 3rd fastest 60m and is tied for the fastest 10m. I think his starts are fine
@Reckoning29437 ай бұрын
@@LeonEdwardsFitnessOfficial they’re fine but not earth shattering. Compared to the rest of his stats it’s obviously his weakness, that’s why I was wondering how much faster he would have been by erasing that weakness.
@LeonEdwardsFitnessOfficial7 ай бұрын
@@Reckoning2943 I see what you mean. I don't think it would've been possible to eliminate that weakness, though. That would mean he is shorter, which would take from his top speed.

Sprinters run with balls on their feet while runners on their heels. Reason is you are way faster on your toes and you are in higher chance of injury when sprinting with your heels. Runners on their heels because its more comfortable and they can for longer periods of time. It looks pretty bad but it works it definitely works
