I think this is based on a time one random cheetah really ran. But it's safe to say that cheetah didn't know it was supposed to finish in the shortest time possible like Bolt and every other sprinter does every time. I think given enough cheetahs running 100m as fast as possible this time would be lowered quite a bit.

Yep. There's a 100% certainty that 5.95 seconds is not even close to what the Usain Bolt of cheetahs would have run. Sarah, the cheetah that ran that time, was a zoo animal and was already 11 years old by the time of that recorded sprint in 2012. It's hard to say what effect being a zoo animal has on athletic capability compared to being in the wild but it's safe to say there's a difference. Maybe a bit of advantage to the zoo animal cause he/she gets fed constantly and gets medical attention and thus, is always injury-free. But there's the advantage to the wild animal in that it's constantly training so to speak by being tested in the wild all its life. Too bad we have no way of knowing but I'd bet if we have the capability to repeatedly time that mythical cheetah super athlete at the peak of its abilities, we'd get times well below 5 seconds.

They get bodied by hyenas, lions, and even leopards but from what I read, they succeed in getting a kill 60% of the time which is very high. It's habitat loss that's really driving their population down, sadly 🙁

Edited: Apparently my theory is met with some criticism and it is assumed that a two-legged cheetah would be just as pointless as a one-legged Usuan Bolt. I consider this claim to be untenable. In fact, Bolt's chances against a cheetah in a one-legged race appear to be even better.

Bolt is the fastest human that ever lived. A fair comparison should be made with a "champion" Cheetah which is well above the average in speed. Since Bolt is 15% faster than an average young athlete in great shape, we should compare his speed with that of a Cheetah which is also 15% faster than an average healthy Cheetah. In other words we are comparing Bolt at 27 mph (top speed) with a Cheetah at 70 mph x 1.15 = 80.5 mph. In other words, this comparison would yield a factor of 3.0 between Bolt's top speed and a champion Cheetah's top speed (i.e., 80.5/27 = 2.98). So, for all practical purposes, there's no difference in comparing Bolt or any good football player to a Cheetah which is on a completely different speed scale.
