I am from France and my husband is Japanese so I cooked Japanese food and a few traditional French and Italian dishes and Indian and Chinese dessert and sides since my dad is Italian from France and mom is Indian/Chinese so I made a mix of everything haha 😊 Apparently my husband says I am talented to cook Japanese food and is proud of me all the time whenever I make effort and cook any Japanese food. Even prepared a Tiramisu as it was my husband's birthday on the 1st of January 🥰 Happy New Year to you and your husband ❤ May this new year brings you both happiness,good health and all the best for 2022 💝

In Indonesia where I came from, we’d eat roasted corn and grill meat on a fire pit outdoor as a group. We usually chat away while watching the clock strikes 12 and watch fireworks as we eat the roasted foods. It was delicious!

Happy New Year! My husband is from Louisiana, so he makes a traditional southern dinner for New Years Day. We had black eyed peas, cabbage and corn bread. He also made himself some southern greens, which I don’t like lol And for himself he made pork and I had Vegan roast, since I’m Vegan. He made enough to have lots of leftovers. It’s one of my favorite meals of the year!

Happy New Year to you both! The food you cook looks amazing and always so beautifully served. Here in my home in England we have a "buffet" New Year's Eve. Different cheeses, biscuits, small sausages on sticks,sausage rolls, mini pizza, mozzarella sticks in breadcrumbs, small duck spring rolls pork pies, crisps and a platter of miniature cakes. Usually I do lots of little sandwiches too but this year we were not that hungry. Then New Year's Day we have a roast dinner. This year was roast chicken and pork, sausage stuffing,roasted potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and minted peas followed by trifle. It was very filling on a cold day! I am certainly not a fantastic cook like you, your husband is a very lucky man to have such a talented wife x

Happy New Year! Looks like you had a wonderful holiday. I live in the States on the East Coast, our New Year's Day dinner is usually Pork (or ham) Kolbassy (sausage), sauerkraut & potatoes and a bunch of side dishes. I'm Vegan so I Veganize some of it.

Happy new year! ✨💖 Im from Brasil 🇧🇷 and here in the new year’s eve we usually reunite all the family, each has its on tradition, but mostly we eat barbecue (if the family it’s to big) or codfish (if is a small family). Another tradition in my country its that most people go to the beach at 11:50 pm, so wen it’s midnight we jump the waves and make a wish.

My wife is French-Canadian, so we have Tortiere, a meat pie of spiced beef and pork, with onions, in a pastry crust. My Irish heritage says that New Year's Day will see a pot of Corned Beef and Cabbage, with potatoes and onions. A plate of buttered bread is placed outside the door, to signal that this house will not have anyone go hungry this year. Happy New Year, to you both. Cheers!

In the United States, it's interesting. The Northern states eat pork (either pork loin, kielbasa, sausage, etc.), sauerkraut (cooked cabbage), and applesauce. The Southern states eat collard greens, blackeyed peas, cornbread, and pork. My husband and I mash it up (He's from the North and I'm from the South).

I do enjoy your simple videos, Happy New Year to you and your spouse! On New Year's eve, we eat a meal of seafood and black-eyed peas. On New Year's day, we have a meal of corned beef, baked potatoes, braised cabbage and mixed cooked greens. The cooked greens would usually be a mixture of collard, turnip and mustard greens that are spiced up with red pepper flakes and bacon.

Happy New Year to you and your family, Usako! I wish you this year will be better than previous, with many positive events and happy moments! In Russia people often cook a lot of dishes: lots and lots of heavy salads (it doesn't necessarily contain vegetables or salad itself) like Olivier salad, Fish "under the coat" - sliced salted fish under layers of vegetables and mayonnaise (yes, it's a salad here too), "crab salad" with rice, corn, surimi sticks and again, mayonnaise - these are common and every family adds their own favorite salads to this list. I loved my mother's best recipe with boiled chicken breasts, marinated champignons, pineapples - all finely cut, put in a deep bowl in layers, covered with mayonnaise, and we called it "Shanghai's salad". Also, in Russia is common to cook chicken or meat as a hot dish with mashed or fried potatoes. Some families add fruits, desserts like cakes or ice-cream, and plates with sliced meat/cheese/salted fish. And lots of alcohol :( For me and my husband this year there was poke (cold rice with salmon and vegetables), sushi, pizza and mango juice instead of alcohol (we don't drink alcohol). We were extremely happy eating this yummy food, watching old movies and numerous fireworks outside our apartment.

A little late happy new year. :D We - my boyfriend, his cousin from Bavaria who visited us here in North Germany and I - ate Raclette, but the german version which is different from the swiss original. We ate it with a noodle salad (noodles, mayonnaise, pickles, gouda cheese, corn and some kind of sausage - Fleischwurst in german). The german version of Raclette needs a special kind of gadget. Everyone got a very small pan and we put different kind of ingredients in the pan like mushrooms, bacon, corn, bell pepper, onions and other stuff, then we put a slice of cheese onto it and put it into the gadget which works like a small oven. It's really delicious. :)
