Jamie Smith it’s not that simple, DID is a disorder that is painful in so many ways. You might get flashbacks, you might never get time in the body, you might have too many things going on in the inner world. You have to think about the whole systems feelings for decisions and you don’t always get your way. You do NOT want DID, and if you still believe you want it, look at the struggles of others by either researching it or watching videos made by systems themselves.

I know how this feels. I have 6 alters, and it can be a struggle. People think its all fun and games, but at times it can be really scary. They can talk to each other like in this video ^ as they can to me. They can harm others as well as me, and its really scary. They have leaned to respect me and some others that I trust, however. Its hard trusting people when were scared of what they might think.

Adam Konze I've actually seen dogs and other animals respond to switches as if someone else had walked into the room. There's a documentary with a police officer who has DID, with his main personality being John and one of his child personalities being Johnny. John had trained his dog to stay out of the living room, but while they were filming in the living room Johnny came out to talk to the crew. While Johnny was out the dog sensed that John was no longer present and came into the living room so Johnny could pet him. When John came back out, the dog left, just like he had been trained to do. It was so fascinating.

@georgerobins41105 жыл бұрын
Crystal Rusmisel There’s a theory I heard that you need to have trauma as an infant in order to develop DID, but that most people don’t remember infant trauma. The only reason I know about ours (I have DID) is because someone else told me about it. Either way, abuse sucks, I hope you’re okay ❤️

The problem with mental disorders is that every mind is different. What is normal for 1 person with multiple personalities isn't necessarily normal for all. It isn't our place to judge whether she is "faking" it or not. She obviously was severely abused as a child and it left her broken in many ways. If switching back and forth between the personalities every couple of minutes helps this woman live...who are we to judge?
@peachstardrop8 жыл бұрын
What is shown there is called "rapid switching" and it's a mind coping technique. The gatekeeper can also help with rapid switching. Every mind is very very different.
@JoBikotch8 жыл бұрын
Didn't she also tell that there were times she couldn't remember her other personalities actions? It might be the therapy enabling her to switch and share memories.
@peachstardrop8 жыл бұрын
Oh! Also, sharing memories is something alters can do with the host/original. I had an alter show me memories. Through therapy, I'm now able to be conscious inside my head and see the innerworld so the alters have shown me memories through videos inside. Sometimes you can gain memories through dreams if the alters communicate that way. I'v been going to my therapist for around two years and we've made a lot of progress. It's amazing what therapy can do with D.I.D.

zach naranjo yea it's hard to believe but someone I'm close with is a therapist and this is a real thing the only issue I have and the therapist agrees is that generally you can't control when you shift, and it's rarely that quick between personalities. My conclusion is either she is a extremely rare and obscure case, or she is faking for disability.
@KristinChronicles7 жыл бұрын
You actually can switch that quickly. Sometimes there are a few alters hanging out in the "front" & they can switch rapidly. After two decades of therapy, you CAN learn to communicate so well with the alters (alternate states of consciousness) that you can manage it well---to the point where it appears as if she's controlling the voices. I'm here for any further questions related to dissociative identity disorder (DID).

More and much more is explained in the MK-ultra documents, these people are probably experimented on. It's trauma based (religious) mindcontrol. And that's the Satanic part. The people who do the rituals and programming (splitting the mind) are believing it.. Total mindcontrol, that's what religion is a control meganism. Possesion in that person is the trauma..
@pearlinc.30737 жыл бұрын
Jennifer L. Ayres it's not demonic, it's trauma based mindcontrol (religious).. They use satanic rituals to split the mind, it's to do with hypnoses under MK ultra. The can make you believe in anything they want you to. You have to ask yourself who benefits? When some of them get deprogramming they start believing in Jesus all of a sudden, hallelouja.. :/. Often people of that same program come to the rescue.. And that's how they keep them in control.. But i believe there are good therapists too, who do good. It's so sad to see these people struggle and not knowing what it is. It still could be another form of trauma..
