Bought my 69 charger in 1988 when I was seventeen years old, and in 2022 I still own it.

Thanks for posting. Wowfreak, I was in the Dodge showroom in 1969 looking at the new Chargers when I was 14. The green base model on the floor was 3,050.00 at the time. Today I have a 69 R/T and 45,000.00 invested in it. I love it though.

Three grand for the year as an E-5 (Sgt) was about what one made in the Republic of Vietnam. Our parking lot was full of them at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia.

Just makes me think how people back then actually viewed the '69 Charger compared to how it's viewed today.

Many 1969 Dodge Chargers were in the Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Georgia parking lots. I had returned from the Republic of Vietnam and the troops decided that was the car of choice.

Got a 69 in 3/73 at age 18 with remaining warranty. When I test-drove and floored-it, it scared the shit out of me....I bought it! Then traded for a 74 Cuda.....long story, I bought another 69 in 1985 and will never let go again, it is the best looking muscle car...period!

I've become convinced Dodge has a vendetta against the arts and sciences. First, Dodge Fever destroys priceless dinosaur fossils, now it's destroying what looks like a tribute to Rodin's "The Thinker." I can only assume the staff at the Rodin Gardens in Paris saw this commercial and took the necessary steps to protect the original statue against Dodge Fever and Dodge's ignorant vendetta against history, science, and the arts.

They would be admitting that the styling changes of the past 40 years have generally been detrimental. Then there are the feds, who like to mandate standards (e.g., bumpers) that result in butt-ugly cars.
@Victoria3232-j7o6 жыл бұрын
Gran's Stuff They are designed the way now for a reason for Aerodynamics for better gas mileage and Safety and the government mandated 5 miles an hour bumpers Emissions EPA reasons and just to save cost although The Challenger never changed its looks besides post 1974.

The Charger in the film is wearing the “Recall wheels” which were an option but later recalled by Chrysler because they cracked.
