Hello thanks. I wonder why the charger automatically shuts down once you pass the load threshold. Is it because chargers have some self protection mode? Is it possible to damage a charger by demanding too many amps from the charger? Thanks 🙏

Most chargers will have some sort of protection against over current draw and will require you to remove the usb and re-plugging it in before the charger starts working again. Some chargers will not shutdown but the usb tester will still turn off because there is not enough voltage available for the usb meter to stay ON.

Thank you for the video. It is again very detailed. I wonder 1 thing though. When you test the cheap usb cable in the end of the video, what would happen if you rise the load amperage to 1.5 Ampers ?

If i raise the current to 1.5Amp the the voltage will further drop. if the charger is capable to delivering more current i can further increase the load current and the voltage drop will be more. In my example i used the moto charger which can deliver 1.6A at 5V. so, if i go beyond 1.6A the charger will stop and the usb meter will shutoff.

ok, thank you, so a good cable can sustain 5 volts but a bad cable drops voltage below 5 volts in the same ampere drawn from the charger. it is clear now. :)

Hi there , thank you for the video , recently i bought this usb loader ,but it seems when i spin the potentiometer the amp remain zero i believe the product is defective ,but im wondering if i replace tip122 transistor ,does that fix the problem ? thanks

can't say what could be the problem. But if you have the transistor then you can try replacing the it and see it works. All the best.
