I have to give give a series of interactive web conferences to groups of approximately 10 to 15 people. I was thinking of sending them a USB conference omnidirectional mic, where all of them can seat 6ft away from the mic and all their voices will sound at the same level. This mic seems like a viable option. You mention better quality ones. Could you give me a couple of examples that you would recommend?

Hi Joseph, yeah I think this microphone would be fine for what you are going to do. There are some other ones that I personally have not tried, but are a little more expensive. There is the Jabra Speak 410 which goes for around $100 and then there is one called Meeting Owl, which is really cool because it also has a built in 360º camera, but those start at around $799.

hello, what this microphone support on linux ubuntu or others ?

I've got one of these and I'm using it on MS teams calls. I have disabled the mic on the laptop but I am still using the speakers on the laptop to playback the call. I've had colleagues telling me there is a loud echo there end which they tell me stops when I hit mute on this mic. I'm guessing I'm the one causing their echo issue. What can I do to remedy this? Move the mic further away from the laptop speakers?

Hi, so a quick temporary fix for the echo issue would be to put on some headphones when you are using this mic for your MS teams calls, but of course I'm sure you would like to use this mic without having to use headphones. Maybe turning your mic input volume down a little will help. I'll have to look further into this to figure out how you can get rid of that echo issue

Hi, I need a mic for Zoom guitar lesson. Currently using a "traditional" condenser mic, but signal is inconsistent. (Drives the instructor nuts.) Will this type of mic allow clarity of speaking voice and ambient guitar sound (acoustic or electric thru amp nearby.) Thanks!
