Hi thanks for reviewing it, seems thay microphone has clear voice. Have you compared it with boya by-mc2 ? Which is better using omnidirectional or cardioid pattern for usb conference microphone?

I've got one of these and I'm using it on MS teams calls. I have disabled the mic on the laptop but I am still using the speakers on the laptop to playback the call. I've had colleagues telling me there is a loud echo there end which they tell me stops when I hit mute on this mic. I'm guessing I'm the one causing their echo issue. What can I do to remedy this? Move the mic further away from the laptop speakers?

I'd suggest if you are the only person on the call to use headphones, it is good practice to cancel echo and noise from any microphone. I use it with a laptop with the speakers on, but the mic is placed in the centre of the room and isn't close to the laptop.

Laptop Retrospective I don’t use headphone. I use it the same as you: as an external mic (ie not using the laptop built in mic) and having call audio through the laptop speakers. I’ll try unravelling the full length of cord and moving it farther from the laptop to see if that helps.

Hey Wobbly wobbly, 1) what did you do finally to get around this issue? I am planning to buy this mic, but worried about it catching the speaker (echo/feedback problem) sound. 2) Did you try using any external speaker which is not directly facing the mic ?

@@dataman4503 I gave up with it in the end. I didn't try and external speaker. I bought a Jabra unit instead

It has a headphone jack but not a speaker.

That touch mute button is a super nice touch. Would you recommend for recording audio for KZbin over a built-in generic camera mic?

Depends on the camera I think. In my case, the mic on my camera is my personal preference.

Hello - found your post about the Maono USB Conference Microphone AU-BM10 really helpful but I still can't get it to work. The sound does not come out - only if I plug earphones into it as well. I did the output check and it's set to Maono but nothing....Any tips? Tried both Mac and PC.

Sound coming out? It is not a speaker, let me clarify that, it is a microphone only. That is why it has a headphone jack. Can you confirm your setup and what you are trying to get it to do?

It's a dedicated conference microphone that has a place for you to plug in a set of headphones if you desire. In the applications I use it, I use it as a high quality microphone for multiple people speaking in one space, like around a small table.
