Need this for my fan that I need to put on my Vive wireless adaptor. These appear not to be sold anymore, do you have another suggestion that is a voltage regulator to control the fan speed manually?

Lol honestly it Worked good for a while but then the screen developed lines and eventually stopped working.

Is it safe to any device if we boost the regulator to max?

It depends on the power source. Just turn the knob slow. I burned out a usb port on a device because I turned the knob too fast. That caused a spike in current draw causing the USB port to stop working.

it goes up to about 8.5v respect the 5w limit. If youre overloading it the led will start to flicker a bit and the board will get hot. turn it down or off quickly and you can save it before it smokes and burns out. Don't risk plugging this in to a laptop , computer, or car port. not worth damaging them. only use with USB wall chargers and battery banks. buy a few if you plan on experimenting. you'll probably smoke one in the process - which is kind of standard with chinese dc dc converter modules...
