If Ohio State loses a 3rd game in a row to Michigan and they fire Ryan Day to close the 2023 season…Ohio State will deserve a “Miami like” 20 year stretch averaging 7.5 wins a season.

From a Buckeye fan there may be dark days coming at Ohio State. You let a coordinator NOT from Ohio coach The Buckeyes… Fickell took the Wisky job, he can coach defense, that’s an L. USC coming to the Big Ten, that’s an L. Harbough owns us now, L. That’s 3 Ls and a deflated sense of pride and zero identity offensively. Totally weak and embarrassing and this program might turn into a graveyard in a few years ala Miami, Nebraska (Edit) No offense about Miami. I want the U to be back.

@Shane Cupp as a Michigan fan, I disagree. Miami is not a blue blood. Ohio is. Columbus will always be a draw for coaches because of its tradition, blue blood atmosphere, and resources along with being in a decent recruiting location. Ohio has never dropped off as a program since Hayes took over 70 years ago.

Regarding Michigan adjustments - the adjustment came from OSU. They stacked the box all first half to stop the run and got burned over the top. When they adjusted to try to stop the pass game, Michigan had success running.

OSU has no chance. They were thumped by MICH and USC played ND when ND was playing well and still beat them bad. But you are a class act VOCF and have so much knowledge and wisdom and wit. An Ohio State's defense cant stop Michigan. They only stopped the run in the first half because they stacked the box with 8, and JJ just threw it over the top. Once anOSU stopped stacking the box, the run exploaded. They obviously dont have the ability to cover both sides

Next rankings will be: #1 UGA #2 UM #3 TCU #4 USC #5 ohio #6 bama Maybe UM takes the top spot but considering the CFP and the SEC are in bed with ESPN, I doubt it. Hopefully all top 4 win their conference championships. Personally I'd rather play TCU first round that USC anyway. And let ohio and bama play in "The Nobody Cares Bowl". GO BLUE!

Why does everyone think its such a lock that USC and TCU both win? If they both lose to Washington and Kansas St then Ohio St and Bama will slide into the playoffs and I’m taking Bama if they get a 2nd life similar to 2017.

Nothing would prove a 12 team playoff is needed like Bama & Ohio State both getting in and beating Michigan and UGA to face off in the title game (if USC and TCU both lose). If Bama sneaks in and Saban wins the title he should laugh on the podium and say “I own you all” and retire right there.

No chance- TCU is in as long as their game with K state is close. Undefeated Power 5 regular season is rare and impressive, it will get them in over a 2-loss Bama. USC with two losses I agree is out.

If Alabama played OSU or Michigan's schedule the're undefeated. Alabama had the toughest road schedule in the last 30 years. Young went a month without throwing the ball and the Offense is now peaking at the right time. Losing on the road by 3 scores should eliminate a team. At home??? Bama is favorite over every team not name Georgia. WHY??? Proven. Bama shows up in big games with 15 straight 10 win seasons. Do we want good CFP games. Young was injured and couldn't throw a deep ball for 6 weeks

Bama plays 4 out of conference games every year, including one right before their rivalry game. They also play Samford and the Citadel….spare me your tough schedule speech. The inbred SEC circular firing squad doesn’t work for you. You’re a good football team and your losses are close losses to good teams, but those teams haven’t done well down the stretch, so sorry, unless there’s money changing hands you don’t get to be on the playoff every year just because you’ve won in the past.

I hate this argument so much. They didn’t play Michigan’s schedule or Ohio State’s schedule. You cannot definitively prove that the teams Alabama lost to are better than OSU/MICH/PSU. Maybe after bowl season we can re-evaluate, but right now we look at Bama for what they’ve done and what they’ve done was lose to the two best teams they played.

They played 6-7 teams who sniffed the top 10 at least once this year. The road schedule was brutal. Bama has played in 6 of the last 7 title games. PROVEN It's okay. Like any and ALL other leauges and sports! Its common sense! No Georgia should not have made the playoffs last year, regardless how great they were, regardless!
