USC Pays Tribute to Mario Danelo

The Danelo's were good family friends. I grew up playing sports, and mostly football with Mario's older brothers. Mario was always a positive inspiration for even those who were older than him. I will be missed and remembered forever.

Didnt know much about what happened but big respect to the coach there. Even something as little as a time delay just shows to the normal public that football isnt the be all and end all. But to those who it is the be all and end all it is also fitting for them too.

I'm a big USC fan, and if the same thing happened to an Irish player (or any other young man for that matter), I would be in tears too. It's a tragedy for his family and teammates.

@@latinolawdog5067 Perhaps they didn't know back then that procedural penalties could be declined. Fresno State would decline such a penalty 7 years ago for a similar missing man formation.

UW husky fan. cant argue. very classy and respectable thing for USC to do. even though i have plenty of reasons to, i cant hate pete carrol or usc no matter what. they deserve what theyve earned and its things like this that provide the grain on exactly why. RIP mario.
