I wrote a "poem" some time ago, although I wouldn't argue it's anything as sophisticated, but It goes like this: "I've been to the edge. I've peered into the abyss. I saw the darkness and heard its call. The great struggle then becomes, what is my hope that I should resist?" Listening to the question about the last chapter in her book titled, "beyond the edge," brings me back to that dark place in my life, and also how I got beyond it. It's also a chapter in my own book (presently writing) that I have to retitle, apparently lol. But great stuff. Appreciate the talk 👍

I was expelled from my school in the United Kingdom when I was suffering from schizophrenia because they were worried I would not get good grades and their school would look bad in the published school league tables they have in the UK

I feel for you. I was close to being expelled from 3 classes in university, but I fought back with emails from my hospital bed and for some miraculous reason, they let me stay and finish my course. I wish you good health!

Wow. That's horrible...both your cases. Good on you @Tirza, and @Butterfly, you don't need them to accomplish great things. Keep walking, but with your head held high. You can still reach your destination. Good luck to you both.

What the actual fuck!?! That's an utter betrayal of the entire point of education, on top of being just cruel!! I am so sorry you had to go through that, and I hope you're doing better now 🫂 (Also fuck that school)
